Job Overview

The NOC Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Network Operations Center (NOC) activities related to the metro rail project. This role involves monitoring and managing the D&B contractors' network operations during the design review and construction stages to ensure system availability and performance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor network operations to ensure system availability and performance.
  2. Oversee and coordinate network activities of D&B contractors.
  3. Review and approve network-related designs and plans submitted by contractors.
  4. Conduct regular assessments of network performance and provide feedback.
  5. Ensure compliance with network security and operational standards.
  6. Coordinate with IT teams to resolve network issues and outages.
  7. Maintain documentation of network configurations, changes, and incidents.
  8. Provide technical support and training to project teams and contractors.
  9. Develop and implement network operation procedures and best practices.
  10. Prepare and present network performance and incident reports to stakeholders.
  11. Manage network incident response and resolution processes.
  12. Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
  13. Oversee network upgrades and maintenance activities conducted by contractors.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.

Experience in network operations and management.

Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.

Knowledge and Experience:

Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in network operations.

Strong understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting tools.

Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).

Preferred Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

Experience in managing network operations for large infrastructure projects.
