Nursing Clinical Academic Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Academic Supervisor to join our team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a clinical professional passionate about advancing education and research in a multidisciplinary setting. The Clinical Academic Supervisor will oversee the clinical education and development of healthcare professionals at our Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital & Health Shield Medical Center, ensuring high standards of practice and promoting a learning environment that aligns with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide leadership and guidance to clinical staff and trainees in a variety of clinical settings.
  2. Supervise and mentor healthcare professionals, including students, residents, and fellows, ensuring clinical education aligns with academic and professional standards.
  3. Collaborate with the academic institutions and professional bodies to develop and implement clinical education programs.
  4. Ensure the integration of the latest evidence-based practices into clinical teaching and practice.
  5. Develop, implement, and evaluate assessment tools for clinical education and performance.
  6. Participate in the design and delivery of workshops, training sessions, and seminars to enhance the professional development of clinical staff.
  7. Contribute to research projects and publications, supporting the academic mission of Capital Health.
  8. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth among the clinical team.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's Degree is mandatory; PhD preferred.
  2. Education Manager Experience preferred, including at least 3 years minimum in a Clinical Resource Nurse position.
  3. Excellent leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
  4. Proficient with Microsoft Office and other Learning Management Systems (Lippincott, Litmos, SharePoint, etc.).
  5. Able to lead and collaborate effectively with staff and administrators.
  6. Course development experience is a must.
  7. Well-versed in Department of Health Education and Training regulatory requirements.
  8. Led and participated in accreditation bodies locally and internationally (JCIA, CARF, DOH, etc.).
  9. DOH license or eligibility for licensing by the Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (DOH).
