Ahmadyar Development is looking for an experienced Supervisor / Foreman – MEP to join our Projects Department and support the delivery of high-quality residential developments.
About the Role
The Supervisor / Foreman – MEP will be responsible for overseeing MEP works across our residential projects, covering electrical, plumbing and drainage, HVAC, and low current/LV systems from installation and coordination through testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover.
The role involves close coordination with main contractors, MEP subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and the internal Projects team to ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily MEP works on site across electrical, plumbing and drainage, HVAC, and low current/LV systems.
- Coordinate MEP installation works with civil and finishing trades to avoid clashes, rework, and delays.
- Oversee and witness testing and commissioning of MEP systems prior to handover.
- Lead and track MEP snagging of residential units by identifying defects, maintaining snag lists, and following through until all items are closed out.
- Coordinate with MEP vendors, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery.
- Review MEP shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals and confirm compliance with approved documents on site.
- Maintain daily progress records, inspection reports, and testing and commissioning documentation.
- Support permits, inspections, and coordination with authorities such as DEWA and Civil Defence, as required.
- Ensure MEP works comply with site safety requirements in coordination with the HSE team.
- Escalate quality, schedule, technical, or resourcing risks to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Graduation in Engineering / Diploma in Engineering / ITI Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical.
Experience
6–8 years of relevant experience with main contractors or developers on real estate/residential projects.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing & drainage, HVAC and low current/LV systems.
- Proven track record delivering multi-discipline MEP works on real estate/residential projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret MEP shop drawings and specifications.
- Hands-on experience with testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Experience coordinating multiple MEP vendors and subcontractors.
- IT Skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), AutoCAD (drawing reading and markups).
