Account Manager

We are looking for a highly skilled and results-driven Accounts Manager to lead and oversee the accounting operations at Gulf Orchid Perfume Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in accounting with a focus on team management, operational efficiency, and internal controls. As the Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and managing a high-performing accounting team. Your role will also involve providing strategic financial insights, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure operational efficiency by streamlining processes and enhancing controls to mitigate financial risks.
• Review and approve journal entries, financial transactions, and reconciliations to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance.
• Implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
• Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate submission to senior management.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas of improvement.
• Provide actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making and operational planning.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections, ensuring alignment with company goals.

Year-End Closing & Auditing:

• Lead the year-end closing process, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and financial statements are prepared in accordance with applicable standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for the audit process.
• Ensure that financial results are accurately represented and comply with local and international accounting regulations.
• Supervise the preparation and analysis of cost reports, identifying opportunities for cost control and process optimization.
• Collaborate with operations and management to monitor and control expenses related to production and other operational areas.
• Provide recommendations to improve cost-efficiency, profitability, and overall financial performance.

Proficiency in Al Ameen Accounting Software:

• Oversee the effective use of Al Ameen Accounting Software for all accounting functions, ensuring seamless integration and accurate financial data entry.
• Maintain and update the software to reflect the latest accounting requirements and ensure data integrity.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of accounting functions.
• Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
• Monitor the team's performance and implement improvements in workflows, systems, and processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven expertise in managing accounting teams and leading operational improvements in an accounting environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Proficiency in Al Ameen Accounting Software.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Proficiency in Arabic is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: AED 5,000 to AED 8,000 per month based on experience.
