We are currently looking for a Junior FFE designer to join our award-winning interior design practice. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with excellent design, specification and delivery skills to join an ambitious and growing Dubai based team working on high-end projects throughout UAE. The Junior FF&E Designer's focus will be on sourcing and documentation of the FF&E and interior finishes aspects of interior design projects, working with and under the direction of Senior FF&E Designers. Documents will include creation of BOQs, sourcing of FF&E from the local market, specifications, control samples, details, etc.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for somebody with a passion for working in the high-end sector and delivering luxury designs. The preferred candidate will be entry levels and freshers who are looking to start their career in interior design, supporting the FF&E team in creation of BOQs and material selections, having a good eye for design, highly organized, and have the willingness to learn. The FF&E team is integral to the delivery of our projects, working closely with our interior design and technical design team to bring our projects to life through the design and specification of materials, furniture, artwork and accessories.

We are looking for a strong communicator who is confident collaborating with design and technical teams as well as industry professionals and suppliers. You will have experience and an understanding of managing project budgets and timelines, including the FF&E procurement process.

Skills & Abilities

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD, InDesign and Photoshop
  2. Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline orientated environment

  11. Good technical and detailing skills with willingness to develop further
  12. Commercial awareness - designing to budget
  13. Good understanding of the design process from brief to site

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  1. Assist the project team in sourcing, sampling and budgeting FF&E designs
  2. Assist the project team in documenting FF&E design on a variety of project types
  3. Assist the project team in producing presentation materials and in coordinating FF&E designs with vendors and other resources
  4. Assist the project team with selection, coordination, and documentation of interior architectural finishes
  5. Assist with project record-keeping
  6. Good understanding of client objectives and the needs of the end-user
  7. Assist in preparing and developing presentation packages including design presentations, artwork and accessories presentations, mood boards and sample boards under senior team instructions.

Job Requirements:

  1. College-level degree required (interior design or related field)
  2. Entry levels and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  3. Have a good eye in Interior design, Sourcing and documenting FF&E design, Selection & documentation of interior architectural finishes
  4. Experience with AutoCAD, InDesign, SketchUp, Photoshop, and hand sketching.
  5. Must be team-oriented, articulate, flexible, productive, able to deal successfully with BAMO team members, Principals, and outside vendors
  6. Must be willing to learn, meet deadlines, and take initiative
