Physiotherapist - UAEN

As a pharmacist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Dispensing medications to inpatients as per prescription.
• Reviewing and interpreting each prescription/medication order before dispensing to ascertain correctness of strength, dose instructions, and dosage form.
• Providing appropriate patient information concerning the dispensed medications.
• Clarifying any prescription abnormality with the prescribing physician; any unresolved problems are referred to the chief pharmacist.
• Supervising the repackaging, labeling, and documentation of medications issued to other departments.
• Answering drug-related inquiries received from doctors, nurses, and customers; inquiries that cannot be answered with certainty are to be referred to the chief pharmacist.
• Assisting in the training of new pharmacists and pharmacy staff as per the direction of the chief pharmacist.
• Performing specialty pharmacy activities, as delegated and trained.
• Being responsible for medicine stock, monitoring near-expiry medicines, and updating the controlled medicine register daily.
• Performing other miscellaneous duties as directed by the chief pharmacist.
• Following appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations, and Joint Commission International norms while treating or managing patients as well as while discharging professional duties.

• Education: Pharmacists must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Experience: At least two (2) years experience in a hospital as a pharmacist.
• Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of UAE laws, company policies, and regulations applicable to the area of work.
• Licensing: DHA license required.
• Language: Good command of English; Arabic is desirable but not essential.
