Key Accountabilities
- Provide legal counsel to CEO and guidance to senior leadership on healthcare-related matters, including compliance, regulatory issues, risk management, and contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that business practices align with applicable healthcare laws and regulations.
- Stay abreast of changes in healthcare laws and regulations, and proactively advise the organization on compliance requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the organization's adherence to healthcare regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
- Manage legal aspects of company transactions, from negotiation to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with legal standards.
- Ensure that contractual arrangements comply with applicable healthcare laws and regulations.
- Assess and mitigate legal risks associated with healthcare operations and initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal support for healthcare initiatives and projects.
- Oversee and manage healthcare-related litigation matters, working closely with external counsel when necessary.
- Develop and implement strategies for resolving disputes efficiently and effectively.
- Contribute to the development and updating of company policies to ensure compliance with healthcare laws and industry best practices.
- Work closely with Senior management and the Board of Directors on legal matters that require specialized expertise.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education and Certification
- Master's Degree - law degree from an accredited law school or related fields.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think critically and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Expertise in providing strategic legal advice to management.
- Leadership ability to motivate and inspire other professional team members.
- Ability to evaluate and weigh multiple inputs and impacts of any decision or course of action.
- Strategic thinker with excellent judgment and the ability to navigate complex legal issues while balancing legal and business considerations.
Experience
- 15+ years of experience with a legal background, of which 8 years in a leadership role. Healthcare experience in UAE will be an advantage.
