Data Analytics Manager

As a member of Munich Re, the MedNet Group is a leading Third-Party Administrator across the MEA region. We are currently seeking to hire a Data Analytics Manager who is responsible for leading the data analytics initiatives within MedNet Operations.

This role involves transforming raw data into actionable insights to support tactical and strategic decision-making, and ultimately enhance operational efficiency as well as regulatory adherence, for internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing data-driven strategies and fostering a data-centric culture across the company, in the UAE and Oman markets.

Your role:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive data analytics strategy aligned with the company's objectives.
  2. Partner with business leaders to collect requirements and identify Key Performance Indicators to measure business performance and success.
  3. Oversee data collection, storage, and management practices, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  4. Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
  5. Design and implement business intelligence solutions, including dashboards and reporting tools, to provide insights to stakeholders.
  6. Collaborate with IT to ensure the necessary infrastructure and tools are in place for effective data analysis.
  7. Conduct complex data analyses to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can drive business decisions.
  8. Track Operations budget consumption against plan and trigger corrective actions as required in case of deviations.
  9. Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders (insurers and reinsurers) in a clear and actionable manner.
  10. Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and business intelligence professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  11. Work closely with various departments, including sales and finance, to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
  12. Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure effective communication and understanding of data insights.

Your Profile:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years' experience in business intelligence in the health insurance industry.
  3. Actuarial/Underwriting background is highly regarded, although not mandatory.
  4. Strong proficiency in analytics tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  6. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights to diverse audiences.
  7. Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
