Roles and responsibilities
  • Carries out and verify thecorrectness of installation of AC Equipment to ensure that therequired operational parameters areachieved.
  • Under the supervision of AC Foreman,the job holder carries out operational functions of ACequipment.
  • Under the supervision of AC Foreman,the job holder executes testing & commissioning activitiesof AC equipment as and when required.
  • Troubleshoots and carries out necessary repairs of AC Equipment wheneveradvised by the superiors.
  • Ensures that thenecessary tools and plants are available in order to perform thejob.
  • Always Follows the HSE requirements of thesite to ensure that HSE regulation are met.

Requirements

  • Must have full awareness of A/CEquipment installation copper pip installation, brazing of copperpipes, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of DX Systems,VRF system and roof top units, ducted splitsystems.
  • Chillers experience would beadvantageous.
  • 05 – 10 years ofinstallation experience of A/C Equipment – Gulfexperience preferable.
  • Should have goodtechnical skills and application skills
  • Readingand understanding of technical manuals, catalogs etc. of Englishlanguage is essential.

  • RepairsandMaintenance:

    • RepairingMechanical Components: Once an issue is identified,the technician repairs or replaces faulty components like engines,brakes, transmissions, or other mechanicalparts.
    • RoutineMaintenance: Conducting regular maintenance servicessuch as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, or filterreplacements to keep vehicles or machines runningsmoothly.
    • Electrical andHydraulic System Repairs: Many modern machines havecomplex electrical and hydraulic systems, and mechanics must beskilled in repairing or maintaining these systems in addition totraditional mechanicalparts.

  • PartsReplacement:

    • ReplacingDamaged or Worn Parts: Mechanic Technicians oftenreplace parts that are beyond repair, such as belts, hoses, sparkplugs, filters, andalternators.
    • EnsuringCompatibility: Ensuring that replacement parts arecompatible with the vehicle or machinery being repaired and thatthey meet manufacturerspecifications.

  • MaintenanceRecords andDocumentation:

    • MaintainingService Logs: Keeping detailed records of theservices performed, parts replaced, and diagnostics conducted foreach vehicle or piece ofequipment.
    • Following MaintenanceSchedules: Adhering to scheduled maintenanceintervals, keeping track of service history, and ensuring thatmachines or vehicles remain in good workingorder.
    • Reporting to Supervisorsor Clients: Communicating the nature of repairs ormaintenance performed and making recommendations for future serviceneeds.
