JobSummary

The Flight SimulatorInstructor is responsible for providing services to clients byconducting all the instructions andtraining.

Pre-requisites

  • Flyingexperience of 4000 hours minimum, including 1500 hours ofmulti-crew time
  • Hold a current and valid EASAor FAA license.
  • Possess an engaging andpositive personality that inspires others.
  • Arepassionate to share your knowledge & expertise to guide thenext generation of aviators.

Duties AndResponsibilities

MaintainingLicenses and Ensuring Authority Approval

  • Maintain his/her personal licenses,ratings and IP "currency", including medicalfitness (if applicable), in order to conduct his assignedduties.
  • Ensure that any approval granted by anAuthority is valid before conducting any training, which requireshim/her to exercise the privileges of that Authorityapproval.

Compliance

  • Comply with ECFT/CAE policies andprocedures at the operational level when conducting any trainingfunction, activity or lesson plan.
  • Comply withregulations and procedures pertaining to the Authority approvedprogram(s) as they apply to a training function, activity or lessonplan.

Briefing andDe-Briefing

  • Conduct allSimulator Briefings and training in a thorough and positive mannerto deliver the maximum training benefit to the traineepilot.
  • Accurately note any deviation fromrequired SOPs, procedures, or maneuvers and record and discussthese deviations with the appropriate trainee pilot during theSimulator De-briefing.
Desired candidate profile
  • Review the client(s) Training and CheckingAuthorization form prior to conducting anytraining.
  • Provide simulator instruction on oneor multiple aircrafts. This will require four or more hours ofsitting in the simulator for each session, excluding briefing andde-briefing time.
  • Conduct pre- and post-flightsimulator briefings in a thorough, professionalmanner.
  • Instruct classroom ground schoolSimfinity, CBT, IPT or Stand-up lecture instruction. This willrequire 8 to 10 hours of standing and/or sitting in theclassroom.
  • Support the development andcertification of training curriculum and devices, includingsimulator, FTD, and FMS training aids.
  • Attainan FAA/EASA ground school and simulator instructor designationwithin approximately 12 months.
  • Obtain thequalifications required to serve as an examiner and performexaminer duties under the relevant authority on the aircraft fleetassigned.
  • Perform other required miscellaneousduties (assist with right seat support duties, complete trainingrecords, recommend remedial training, when necessary, track yourown instructional qualifications, etc.)
  • Prepareand inspect classroom facilities and equipment prior to the startof the classroom day.
