The Main Power SubstationEngineer is responsible for overseeing the design review andconstruction supervision of electrical substations for the Railproject. This role involves conducting inspections ensuringcompliance with safety standards and troubleshooting technicalissues. Minimum 7 years experience in the relevantdiscipline.

Roles andResponsibilities:

  • Reviewand approve substation design documents anddrawings.
  • Conduct regular inspections andsupervision of substation constructionactivities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety andenvironmental standards.
  • Troubleshoot andresolve technical issues duringconstruction.
  • Coordinate with design andconstruction teams to address anydiscrepancies.
  • Prepare and review technicalreports and documentation.
  • Conduct siteinspections and assessments to ensure quality andcompliance.
  • Provide technical support andtraining to project teams.
  • Collaborate withcontractors and suppliers to ensure systemperformance.
  • Monitor project schedules andbudgets to ensure timely completion.
  • Overseethe installation and commissioning of substationequipment.

Qualificationsand EducationalRequirements:

  • Bachelorsdegree in Electrical Engineering or a relatedfield.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensepreferred.
  • Extensive experience in substationdesign andmaintenance.

Knowledgeand Experience:

  • Minimumof 7 years of experience in substationengineering.
  • Strong understanding of electricalengineering principles.
  • Experience withhighvoltage power systems and substationautomation.
  • Proficiency in relevant softwaretools (e.g. AutoCADETAP).

PreferredSkills:

  • Strongproblemsolving and project managementskills.
  • Excellent communication and teamworkabilities.
  • Ability to manage complex projectsand deadlines.
