The successful candidate will be leading ateam of Commissioning Engineers and reporting to the ProjectManager. They will be Supervising and controlling the developmentof precommissioning functions applicable to all phases ofprojects.

Among their duties:

Preparation of specific commissioning plans for section ofwork.

Ensuring any potential hazards areidentified and assessment of risks documented in theplans.

Supports the provision of input duringthe estimating phase of a project in regards with the size of theworkscope and identification of any difficulties or specialrequirements.

With the Project Manager develop astrategy for organizing the pre commissioning.

Liaises with Construction Manager to establish an integratedapproach to project completion andprecommissioning.

Works with the Client/MainContractor to complete procedures/plants/method statements andother documents required for execution of the projectcompletion/pre commissioning phase.

Leads thepreparation of commissioning procedures andmethods.

Assists in reviewing and monitor allrecorded and potential change orders.

Workingefficiently cost effectively and maintaining program requirementsto achieve deadlines.

Managing the team progressin accordance with the commissioning program.

Organizes and train the commissioning team.

Getting approval from the client for process and commissioningdocuments as per the project requirements.

Reviews and approves of System Subsystem Precommissioningcommissioning & SAT procedures SPTProcedures.

Reviews and approves of MCCPrecommissioning certificate Ready for commissioning certificatesystem handover certificate Final handovercertificate.

Reviews and approves of the turnover packages by gathering all testing certificates inspectiondocumentation FAT and SAT reports and punch listsreport.

Precommissioning and Testing of thePlant Equipment under his responsibility. Commissioning ofindividual process equipment different type of pumps (such asVertical Diesel Fire pumps Centrifugal pumps Sump pump Dual mediafilter Reverse osmosis unit and Electro chlorinationunit).

Reviewing of P&IDs Flow diagramsFlow and Mass Balances Hydraulic analysis.

Participation in HAZOP/HAZID and riskassessments.

Reviewing the equipment sizingprocess input to mechanical and instrument datasheets andpreparation & development of PFD /P&ID.

Detailed Design in EPIC Executionstage ensuring that designs and equipment selections are optimalsafe cost effective and in compliance with the latest CodesStandards.

Responsible for Plant startup& Shutdown as per the sequentialoperation.

Responsible for the plant performance(such as water quality parameter SDI pH Turbidity TDS FreeChlorine). ORP and fine tuning of the dosing accordingly in orderto meet the specification.

SAT&Performance of the total Plant and Handed over toclient.

Performs any other related duties asassigned.

Qualifications :

  • BSc in Mechanicalor Electrical or E&IEngineering
  • Minimum of 10 years Experience inthe Oil & Gas Industry
  • Minimum of 5years Experience in a ManagerialPosition
  • Familiarization with the process andstandards in Mechanical Commissioning for O&G projects inUAE
