Roles and responsibilities
  • Will perform professionalduties as anObstetrician/Gynecologist
  • Providing surgicalcare both in the operating room and in the O.P.D. for Gynecologicand Obstetric conditions for both emergency and plannedprocedures.
  • Covering the Delivery Room toinclude admitting patients, reviewing their history, planning acourse of action, performing both spontaneous and operativedeliveries, and interacting withmidwives.
  • Covering the Emergency Service bypromptly responding to calls forconsultation.
  • Providing out-patient care inClinics, when so assigned by the head ofdepartment.
  • Working evenings, nights, week-endsand holidays according to a schedule compiled by the Head ofDepartment.
  • Doing and interpreting ultrasoundexaminations both in hospital and on an out-patientbasis.
  • Interpreting fetal heart rate monitoringand taking appropriate action.
  • Carrying outformal and informal consultations from physicians from otherdepartments.
  • Attending committee meetings whenso assigned by the Head ofdepartment.
  • Interacting with patients'families to keep them informed of the patient's condition,changes in condition and plans.
  • Monitorsclinical and other established indicators to ensure ongoing qualityassurance.
  • Strictly observesorganization's medical regulations and policiesespecially those related to infection control, patient safety,patient assessment and patient care.
  • Carryingout other duties when requested by the Head ofdepartment.
  • Comply with all OSH and infectioncontrol policies, standards and procedures and cooperate withhospital management to comply thoserequirements
  • Work accordance with thedocumented OSH procedures and instructions, specificresponsibilities
  • Be familiar with emergency andevacuation procedures
  • Notifying OSH Hazards,incidents, Near misses and issues and assistance with thepreparation of risk assessments, incidentreports
  • Comply with Waste management proceduresand policies
  • Attend applicable OSH/Infectioncontrol training programs, mock drills and awarenessprograms
  • Use of appropriate personal protectiveequipment and safety systems.

Qualifications

  • Graduationfrom an approved Medical School plusInternship
  • Three years residency in OBGculminating in procuring a Post-Graduate
  • Tier 1or Tier 2 Qualification as Consultant level approved and recognizedby DOH/ DHA/ MOH PQR
  • Five or moreyear's exclusive practice in OBG sincecertification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge ofmedical services policies and procedures, U.A.E. law andregulations, company policies andprocedures.
  • Excellent command of oral andwritten English. Arabic desirable but notmandatory.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge ofMedical Ethics
