Roles and responsibilities
  • Undertakes duties asassigned by the Engineering Manager (EM) and ProjectDirector.
  • Responsible for developingstakeholder relationships as a face of theclient.
  • Responsible for managing activities ofthe stakeholder coordinator.
  • Maintains theimplementation of the stakeholder(s) management register andupdates as required.
  • Represents theclient's interests on all matters related to stakeholderpermitting and approvals.
  • Coordinatesstakeholder expectations, dialogue and other forms of engagement tounderstand key common interests.
  • Good knowledgeof planning processes required to coordinate with the governmentand semi-government entities and for clarifications, justificationsand permitting by statutoryauthorities.
  • Supports and facilitates theclient's Element Teams, design consultants and contractorswith the overall permitting process to enable them to securerequired approvals, NOCs and permits for the variousprojects.
  • Ensures project teams deliverrequired documents on schedule and in accordance with anystakeholder requirements.
  • Coordinates with allstakeholders regarding project submissions, revisions,clarifications, approvals, justifications and approvals bystatutory authorities.
  • Reviews all documentcompletion processes submitted by contractors and designconsultants as required by stakeholders on behalf of theclient.
  • Monitors projectsprogress.
  • Notifies the project'sleadership of any potential risks in the permitting process thatcould impact the schedule and updates the status of projects viadashboards periodically.

MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS:

Applicants wouldideally come from an Engineering / Project Management background,with at least 5 years' experience within a seniorposition on a large scale project.

Thesuccessful candidate will ideally need to have Abu Dhabi specificexperience and knowledge of procedures and Government processes aswell.

Command of the Arabic language would beadvantageous.

Qualifications

ABachelor's Degree in either Civil Engineering or arelated subject.

  • Reporting andDocumentation: Prepare and deliver progress reports,presentations, and updates to stakeholders, ensuring that allinformation is accurate, relevant, and presented in a way that isaccessible to differentaudiences.
  • StakeholderFeedback: Collect and document feedback fromstakeholders, ensuring that concerns or suggestions are taken intoaccount in decision-making processes. Ensure the feedback loop isclosed by informing stakeholders about how their input hasinfluenced the project orinitiative.

3.Strategic Planning andCoordination

  • CollaborativePlanning: Work closely with internal teams (projectmanagers, communications, marketing, etc.) and externalstakeholders to coordinate the development of project plans,schedules, and budgets. Ensure that all relevant stakeholders arealigned with project goals andtimelines.
  • RiskManagement: Identify potential risks related tostakeholder relationships, such as public opposition, regulatorychallenges, or conflicting interests. Develop mitigation strategiesto minimize these risks.
  • Policyand Regulatory Advocacy: Representstakeholders' interests within the organization or projectteam, ensuring that any necessary adjustments are made to meetregulatory, legal, or communityexpectations.

4.Community and PublicRelations

  • CommunityEngagement: For projects that impact localcommunities, develop and manage community engagement strategies toensure that the concerns of residents, businesses, and communityleaders are addressed.
  • PublicRelations: Manage the organization'spublic image in relation to key stakeholders, ensuring that thecompany or project is viewed positively by externalaudiences.
  • CrisisManagement: In situations where stakeholders aredissatisfied or there is public unrest, lead efforts to manage andresolve any crises, ensuring that the organization'sreputation is protected.
