JobOverview 

TheMaterial Architect develops material specifications and standardsfor the project. This role involves coordinating with suppliersconducting material testing and ensuring compliance with industrystandards.  

RolesandResponsibilities: 

  • Developmaterial specifications and standards for theproject. 

    • Coordinatewith suppliers and vendors to ensure materialquality. 

      • Conductmaterial testing andevaluation. 

        • Ensurecompliance with industry standards and projectrequirements. 

          • Providetechnical support to design and constructionteams. 

            • Reviewand approve material submittals andsamples. 

              • Conductresearch on new materials andtechnologies. 

                • Prepareand present material reports anddocumentation. 

                  • Managematerial procurement andinventory. 

                    • Collaboratewith other disciplines to integrate materials intodesigns. 

Qualificationsand EducationalRequirements: 

  • Bachelorsdegree in Architecture Engineering or arelatedfield. 

    • Experiencein materialselection andspecification. 

      • Knowledgeof construction materials and industrystandards. 

KnowledgeandExperience: 

  • Minimumof 57 years of experience in materialarchitecture. 

    • Stronganalytical and problemsolvingskills. 

      • Excellentcommunication and coordinationabilities. 

PreferredSkills: 

  • Experiencewith sustainable materials andpractices. 

    • Familiaritywith material testing methods andstandards. 

      • Abilityto manage multiple tasks andpriorities.
