We are looking for a skilledPiping Material Engineer to join ourteam for a key EPC project with ADNOC in the Oil & Gassector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience inpiping materials selection procurement and specificationdevelopment for largescale complex oil and gas projects. The PipingMaterial Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the properselection and management of materials for piping systems ensuringcompliance with ADNOC and industry standards and supporting theproject throughout the lifecycle.

JOBRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the correct selection of piping materials based onthe process conditions project specifications and applicable codesand standards (e.g. ASME ASTM ANSI API and ADNOCstandards).
  • Develop and review piping materialspecifications (PMS) for various piping systems and ensure theircompliance with project requirements.
  • Performmaterial class development and manage material classification fordifferent types of piping systems.
  • Workclosely with procurement teams to specify and procure pipingmaterials ensuring alignment with project schedules andbudgets.
  • Review vendor submittals data sheetsand material certifications for compliance with projectspecifications and standards.
  • Ensure timelydelivery of materials to meet project milestones and resolve anymaterialrelated issues during procurement.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA) and QualityControl (QC) teams to ensure the correct material handling testingand certification of materials.
  • Conductmaterial verification and ensure compliance with both project andADNOC quality requirements.
  • Support theinspection and testing of materials during manufacturing anddelivery to ensure compliance with materialspecifications.
  • Collaborate with design pipingstress analysis and construction teams to ensure that pipingmaterials meet design fabrication and installationrequirements.
  • Coordinate with otherengineering disciplines to resolve any materialrelated issuesduring design fabrication and construction stages.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide expert adviceon materials selection and usage.
  • Preparetechnical reports material requisitions and purchase orders forpiping materials.
  • Maintain accuratedocumentation of all material approvals certifications and trackinginformation.
  • Provide ongoing technical supportfor all piping materialrelated queries throughout the projectlifecycle.
  • Ensure all piping materials areselected in compliance with ADNOCs specific material codes as wellas international industry standards and codes.
  • Monitor compliance with environmental health and safetyregulations related to material selection and usage.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical evaluations andreports for compliance audits and inspections.

KEYQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering MaterialsEngineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8years of experience in piping material engineering within the Oil& Gas industry with a focus on EPC projects.
  • Proven experience working on ADNOC projects is highlypreferred.
  • Strong experience in materialselection procurement and specifications development for pipingsystems in accordance with project requirements andcodes.
  • Indepth knowledge of piping materialsstandards and specifications (e.g. ASME API ASTM ADNOC) for Oil& Gas projects.
  • Familiarity withsoftware tools such as MS Office SAP or similar material managementsystems.
  • Proficient in preparing and reviewingPiping Material Specifications (PMS) Material Requisitions (MR) andMaterial TakeOffs (MTO).
  • Strong knowledge ofpiping materials valves fittings and piping components used inupstream oil and gas production facilities.
  • Familiarity with stress analysis material compatibilityand industry codes and standards.
  • Knowledge ofmaterial handling and logistics processes within EPCprojects.
  • Strong problemsolving anddecisionmaking abilities.
  • Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills for collaborating withinternal teams clients and suppliers.
  • Abilityto manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressureto meet project deadlines.
  • Detailoriented witha focus on accuracy and consistency.
