Roles &Responsibility:

Developing sound costeffectivestrategies for the purchasing of materials used in thebusiness

Maintaining relationships withsuppliers while continually scouting for additionalvendors

Evaluating spending operations whileseeking ways to improve and enhance the quality ofproducts purchased and the timeliness ofdeliveries

Communicating withmanagement regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods andservices affecting production

Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks forimprovement

Developing risk managementprocedures to mitigate losses in the event of productshortages

Supervising a purchasing team anddelegating tasks across departments when necessary

Working closely with the company legal department to makesure contracts and terms arefavorable.

Requirements:

Knowledge of purchasingin GCC.

Sound knowledge of internationallogistic/freight forwarding & supply chain channels.

Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communicationskills.

Experience of Flowers Bakery GiftingFMGC Ecommerce Industries.

Ability to makedecisions in accordance with responsibilities.

The incumbent works with a high degree of independence inperforming his duties.

Required to be acomputer literate.

Must also function well in ateam environment and have the ability to work well underpressure.

A strategic thinker with commercialacumen to understand business needs and identifyopportunities to support them throughprocurement.

Able to turnstrategies into tactical plans which can give betterresults

Create and maintain accurate anddetailed reports.
