AtkinsRalis is seeking ahighly experienced Physical SecurityEngineer to join our Project ManagementConsultant (PMC) team. This role involves reviewing and approvingphysical security designs such as vehicle bollards door locks andfences submitted by the D&B contractor. The engineer willoversee the implementation of these security measures during theconstruction phase conduct risk assessments and coordinate withlocal law enforcement RTA and Dubai Police transport securityteams. Ideal candidates will have a background in physical securityengineering preferably in rail or metro projects and experience asa transport police officer or similar security personnel isadvantageous. UAE project experience and the ability to joinquickly are highly desirable. If you have the required experienceand skills we encourage you to apply and be part of our dynamicteam.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewand approve physical security designs and plans submitted by theD&B contractor ensuring compliance with projectspecifications client requirements and industrystandards.
  • Evaluate design aspects related tophysical barriers vehicle bollards door locks fences and overallsite security.
  • Provide technical guidance andrecommendations to the D&B contractor to address designdeficiencies and enhance securitymeasures.
  • Ensure that physical securityconsiderations are integrated into the overall project design andconstruction phases.
  • Oversee the implementationof physical security measures during the construction phaseensuring adherence to approved designs andspecifications.
  • Conduct regular siteinspections and audits to verify the proper installation andfunctionality of physical securityelements.
  • Monitor the D&B contractorscompliance with security protocols materials selection andinstallation standards.
  • Coordinate with theD&B contractor to resolve any issues or discrepanciesrelated to physical securityimplementation.
  • Conduct comprehensive securityrisk assessments and vulnerability analyses for the projectsites.
  • Develop and enforce security policiesprocedures and protocols to safeguard project assets andpersonnel.
  • Coordinate with local lawenforcement to ensure effective security measures are inplace.
  • Conduct regular security audits andinspections to identify and mitigate potential securitythreats.
  • Review and approve technicaldocumentation including design drawings risk assessments andasbuilt drawings related to physicalsecurity.
  • Prepare and present regular progressreports highlighting security review outcomes risks and next stepsto project stakeholders and seniormanagement.
  • Maintain comprehensive records ofall physical security activities and ensure proper documentation isavailable for future reference.
  • Liaise withlocal authorities regulatory bodies and other stakeholders toensure coordinated security efforts.
  • Providetraining and support to project staff on security best practicesand emergency response procedures.
  • Collaboratewith other project teams to ensure seamless integration of physicalsecurity measures with other projectactivities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorsdegree in security management Engineering or a relatedfield.
  • Minimum of 1012 years of experience inphysical security engineering preferably in rail or metroprojects.
  • Proven experience in managingsecurity for largescale constructionprojects.
  • Strong knowledge of physical securitysystems technologies and bestpractices.
  • Excellent analytical andproblemsolving skills.
  • Ability to workeffectively in a fastpaced dynamicenvironment.
  • UAE project experience and dealingwith local authorities police departments traffic department ishighly desirable.
  • Ability to join quickly ispreferred.
  • Experience as a transport policeofficer or similar security personnel isadvantageous.
