TheUnderground Interchange Stations Inspector is responsible forensuring the safety functionality and operational efficiency ofunderground interchange stations. The role involves regularinspections compliance checks incident reporting and collaborationwith maintenance and operational teams to address and resolve anyidentified issues.
The position entails a 60hourworkweek.
KeyResponsibilities:
Inspectionand Monitoring:
- Conductroutine inspections of underground interchange stations includingplatforms tunnels escalators lifts ventilation systems and otherinfrastructure.
- Ensure stations meet safety andoperational standards in accordance with local regulations andcompanypolicies.
IncidentReporting andResolution:
- Identifypotential hazards safety violations or maintenance needs duringinspections.
- Report issues promptly andcollaborate with maintenance and operations teams to address themeffectively.
ComplianceandDocumentation:
- Ensurestations comply with all relevant safety and operationalguidelines.
- Maintain detailed records ofinspections incidents and resolutions.
- Prepareand submit regular reports tomanagement.
StakeholderCollaboration:
- Workclosely with station managers maintenance crews and safety officersto implement corrective actions.
- Participate inmeetings to discuss station performance and improvementstrategies.
EmergencyPreparedness:
- Assist inplanning and executing emergency drills andprocedures.
- Respond to emergencies and provideonsite support asrequired.
QualificationsandSkills:
Education:
Diplomaor degree in civil engineering transportation management or arelated field.Experience:
- Minimum23 years of experience in station operations infrastructureinspection or a similar role.
- Familiarity withunderground transportation systems is highlydesirable.
Skills:
- Strongobservational and analytical skills.
- Excellentcommunication and reportwritingabilities.
- Proficiency in using inspectiontools and software.
- Ability to work in confinedspaces and underpressure.
WorkEnvironment:
- Predominantlyunderground requiring physical fitness and the ability to navigatetight and noisy spaces.
- Rotational shiftsincluding weekends andholidays.
