Roles and responsibilities

Desirable Knowledge andExpertise

Candidates will beexpected to possess deep expertise in one or more of thefollowing:

  • Good working knowledge ofMiddle East design and construction projects, conditions ofcontract and contractual issues.
  • Demonstrableskills in the implementation and monitoring of project riskmanagement on building and infrastructureprojects.
  • Familiarity with risks associatedwith new and refurbishment projects.
  • Excellentknowledge of project risks associated throughout the project lifecycle, together with experience of preparing and implementingsuitable risk management strategies.
  • Must becapable of chairing risk meetings and following up with projectteam members at all levels.
  • Familiarity withrisk management software used for recording and reportingrisk.
  • Demonstratable skill in quantitative costrisk assessment (Monte Carlo).
  • Specific riskmanagement qualification would bepreferred.

  • Microsoft OfficeSuite.
  • Visio, Excel, Tableau, Power BI datamanipulation and analytics.

  • Business development, marketplanning and client relationships.
  • Spaceprogramming, user research, design strategy and conceptualdesign.
  • Revit, GIS, Python or other spaceplanning / design CAD system.

Desired candidateprofile
  • Initiate, manageand coordinate risk management activities across all stages ofprojects.
  • Chair / facilitate risk managementmeetings.
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers,contractors and consultancy team members on risk managementactivities at all levels.
  • Monitor riskregisters and trends across multiple projects within a program ofworks.
  • Create and maintain risk registers forprojects (in formats approved by theclients).
  • Advise clients on risk managementstrategies and appropriate mitigationplans.
  • Work with the team to provide costinformation to enable quantitative assessment ofrisks.
  • Recommend adjustments to risk registers(as necessary).
  • Advise clients on RiskManagement best practices andimprovements.
  • Lead and deliver all aspects ofservices from inception of a project through tocompletion.
  • Achieve the highest standards ofprofessional competence and to demonstrate this ability in alldealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing theprofile of the company.
  • Drive performancestandards and technical excellence through expert communication andeffective use of the performance management process and AECOMtechnical practice networks.
  • Maintain anddevelop good relationships with clients, take every opportunity touphold and increase the profile of the firm as a provider ofprofessional, premium quality services to the constructionindustry.
  • Actively support the internal teamand manage more junior staff on technically complexprojects.
  • As an Associate you will also beactively involved developing marketing opportunities and whereappropriate bring to the attention of Directors and the BusinessDevelopment Department, in order that they may assist in followingup potential leads enabling the development of newbusiness.
