Quality Control Manager - Gulfa Water Factory-Masfout

Overview: Gulfa Water Factory is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to lead our quality assurance processes in the water manufacturing facility. This includes overseeing the injection line, PET bottle line, and caps line. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, and food safety regulations, with experience in ESMA certification. Additionally, expertise in managing audits (including ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, U.S. Army, and AIB audits) is required. This role demands a professional with at least 10 years of experience in water manufacturing, specifically in PET resin injection, closure manufacturing, and PET preform processing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Management Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain systems for quality management aligned with ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, and ESMA standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Audits: Lead and prepare for external audits, including ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, U.S. Army, and AIB audits.
  • Injection and Preform Monitoring: Oversee the quality of PET resin injection, closures production, and preform manufacturing processes to ensure consistency and meet quality standards.
  • PET Bottle Line Oversight: Supervise PET preform processing and bottle production to ensure all operations meet the set quality standards.
  • Water Treatment: Oversee the water treatment processes to guarantee product safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Raw Material and Finished Product Inspections: Supervise the inspection of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.
  • Microbiological Testing: Monitor microbiological testing and analysis to ensure product safety by identifying contamination risks.
  • Complaint and Non-Conformity Management: Address customer complaints and product non-conformities, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop quality improvement projects and initiatives to improve product reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and train the quality control team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Training: Develop and deliver training programs on quality control, food safety, microbiology, and hygiene for factory staff.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in quality control within the water manufacturing industry.
  • PET Manufacturing Knowledge: Proven experience with PET resin injection processes and injection molding for closures and preforms, along with PET preform processing.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Certifications & Standards Knowledge: Expertise in ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, and ESMA standards.
  • Microbiological & Water Treatment Expertise: Strong understanding of microbiological testing, water treatment processes, and related food safety regulations.
  • Complaint Resolution: Experience in managing complaint resolution and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Audit Experience: Hands-on experience with audits (ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, U.S. Army, and AIB).
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a focus on team development and effective problem-solving.
Key Competencies:
  • Expertise in PET resin injection, preform processing, and closures production.
  • Ability to interpret and conduct microbiological analyses for ensuring product safety.
  • In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and audit standards.
  • Proficient in managing customer complaints and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Proven track record in leading and motivating a quality control team for continuous improvement.
