We arelooking for an outstanding Head of Secondary to start from August2024 or sooner. This role is for an exceptional leader whodemonstrates a high level of turnaround leadership competencieswith a proven track record and is an exciting opportunity to leadthe secondary wing of our wellreputed British curriculum schoolinto excellence. The Head of the Secondary will be responsible forsupporting the schools Vision and Mission as well as all policiesteaching and learning outcomes and pastoralcare.

Keyresponsibilities include but are not limitedto:

• Contribute to thestrategic leadership of the school as a member of the SeniorLeadership Teamdirectly reporting to thePrincipal.
• Upholding the vision &mission of the school and supporting the Principal to take theschool to the next level.
• To holdresponsibility and accountability for daytoday operations and allacademic affairs of the Secondarywing.
• Excellent understanding of UK curriculumIGCSEAS & A level board examination assessmentstandards.
• Contributing to the schoolimprovement plans and selfevaluation of the teaching and learningwithin the school.
• Supervise the instructionalprograms of the school evaluating lesson plans and observingclasses regularly.
• Able to demonstrate acomprehensive and confident knowledge of best practicepedagogy.
• Supervise fairly and consistentlyeffective discipline and attendance systems with high standardsconsistent with the philosophy values and mission of the schooladhering to chilld safe guardingpolicy.
• Display the highest ethical andprofessional behavioral standards when working with studentsparents and all stakeholders.
• Foster a learningenvironment leading to continuous improvement in academicexcellence and holistic education.
• Developinnovative engaging and challenging learning designs that activelyboost the competency and capabilities of the leadershipteam.
• Encourage alignment of Teaching Learningand Assessment practices with instructional and delivery methods tomeet performance improvement standards.
• Imbibeand enhance UAE culture in the school in line with the guidelinesand regulations of the National AgendaParameter.
• Ensure high levels of team memberengagement and commitment to newinitiatives.
• Liaise with the Curriculum andAssessment team to provide uptodate information on curriculumdevelopment & triangulation of data; progress andattainment in all performanceindicators.
• Prepare all supporting informationfor the KHDA inspections & audits as advised by thePrincipal and liaise with the school governing body and DSIBinspectors as necessary.
• Leadership andperformance management of staff in the Secondarywing.
• Protect the confidentiality of recordsand information gained as part of exercising professional dutiesand use discretion in sharing such information within legalconfines.

To beconsidered for this role the candidate mustbe:

• An effective anddynamic leader with a minimum of 3 years experience in a seniorschool leadership team having experience as a Head/Deputy Head ofSecondary; preferably a Masters degree in an educationrelatedfield.
• Experienced in developing teachersskills and competencies through sustained school improvement plansand continuous professional developmenttraining.
• Proven track record in thedevelopment design and of learning and development trainingprograms and delivery of live and onlineworkshops.
• Additionally should have experiencemeasuring the effectiveness of training including diagnosing andunderstanding the needs for training.
• A thoughtleader in learning leadership keep abreast of industry trends toensure bestinclass solutions.
• Able todemonstrate a commitment to inclusion.
• UAEschool experience of the DSIB Inspection Frameworks is highlydesirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills& Team building skills.
• Ability toremain calm and be solutionoriented in highstresssituations.
• Strong organizational skills andmeticulous attention todetail.
