FUNCTIONALRESPONSIBILITIES


  • Inspectraw materials and products to ensure there are no visual defects;take corrective action asneeded.

  • Setupthe job using the CNC machine in total compliance with thespecifications provided in accordance to the standard operatinginstructions within the allotted timeframe.

  • Preparesimple program in machinecontrol.

  • Keepall assigned machines running for production ensuring productivityis maintained at 100% or above through proper setups and operationof machinery to minimize cost to the department while maintainingscheduleintegrity.

  • Ensureefficient and profitable operation of the defined work center byoptimum usage of tools consumablesetc.

  • Conductstage inspection of the product at required phases and makenecessary recordsaccordingly.

  • Recognizepotential problems with products or processes and inform superiorsto ensure that quality standards aremaintained.

  • Conductpreventive maintenance daily to ensure equipment is in good workingcondition by oiling greasing and periodically freeing equipment ofchips.

  • Ensuremachine maintenance is scheduled in collaboration with maintenancedepartment and adhere toit.

  • Toensure proper documentation of work done and in a manner wellaccessible everytime.

  • Maintainlog book to ensure proper communication regarding machine error /program error /missing program /accidents.

  • Ensureproper handing over of machine and instruction communicated to nextshiftoperator.

  • Trainand guide the helpers in operating the machine as per SOP wheninstructed.

  • Strictlyfollow housekeeping procedures including machine and tool equipmentcleaning and ensure the surrounding area is absolutely clean and inorder.

  • Followcompany s HSE guidelines in respect of all operations undertakenand follow safety precautions highlighted in the SOP &manuals. Communicate potential hazards immediately tosupervisor.

  • Performany other job/task given by the Production Supervisor to accomplishdepartmentobjectives.

Education/Qualifications
  • ITI(Machinist / Fitter) and basic CNCProgramming
  • Specialtraining in toolmaking.

Experience

  • Minimum12 years of CNC Machiningexperience.
  • Experiencein 5 Axis CNC machines. Preferably DMGmachines.

FunctionalSkills & SpecificKnowledge

  • Fairunderstanding ofGcodes
  • Abilityto read Engineeringdrawing
  • Knowledgeon Machinability of differentmetals

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, FUNCTIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Education/Qualifications ITI (Machinist / Fitter) and basic CNC ProgrammingSpecial training in tool making.
