Roles and responsibilities
  • Oversees the design,installation, and maintenance of audio-visualsystems
  • Managing and administering the AV& home automation equipment and software currently deployedat Crescent locations including, but not limited to, groupcompanies and residence locations in the UAE and around theglobe.
  • Developing, Reviewing and refining therequirements, scope of work, bill of materials, and systemspecifications for each project.
  • Developing andupdating AV drawings, schematics, anddiagrams.
  • Communicating and resolving anytechnical issues, changes, or risks that may arise during theproject lifecycle.
  • Conducting site surveys,testing, and commissioning of AV systems and providing training andsupport to end-users
  • Design and setup ofmeeting/conference rooms to provide an immersive AV experienceconsidering room acoustics, coverage, aesthetics,etc.
  • Managing the documentation and records ofthe project, such as contracts, invoices, warranties, andmanuals
  • Inventory/AssetManagement
  • Provide AV support to the usercommunity as and when required.
  • Support Callswill be handled by phone, in person or remotely. All Support callswill have to be logged into the IT ticketing system and closed in atimely manner as per predefined SLAs.
  • Will bean escalation point for AV/home automation relatedissues.
  • Will work closely with vendors toidentify and implement/procure relevant technologies required tosupport or enhance AV/home automation services.

EssentialFunctions

  • Planning & deployment ofchanges to existing AV infrastructure based on clientrequirements.
  • Planning & deployment ofAV infrastructure for new projects including, but not limited to,design, programming, recommendation of equipment, proposal reviews,etc.
  • Administration & maintenance of AVand home automation equipment and software.
  • Runperiodic video, audio and signal testing. Diagnose and resolvetechnical hardware, software and connectivity issues related toAV/home automation systems and services provided by the ITteam.
  • Ensure all AV and home automation systemsare always available and in workingcondition.
  • Respond to requests for technicalassistance from users within the organization in person, via phoneor remotely.
  • Perform routine hardware andsoftware maintenance on AV and home automation equipment includingany upgrades and patches that may berequired.
  • Identify and escalate situations asrequired.
  • Troubleshoot communication orconnectivity related issues on AV and/or home automationsystems.
  • Provide prompt and quickservice.
  • Provide Support and assistance toSystem Engineers, Support Engineers and IT Managers when requiredin setting up or troubleshooting AV/home automationsystems.
Desired candidate profile
  • Reports to the Manager, ITInfrastructure.
  • Will work closely with InteriorDesigners, MEP Engineers, Electrical engineers, etc., as requiredon Projects.
  • Liaises and coordinates with theSystems Engineers and Support Engineers to resolve issues/problemsfacing users.
  • Liaises with external suppliersto secure AV products and services.
  • Exhibitsand maintains an excellent relationship with all Crescentstaff.

Continuous Improvementof Position

  • Ensure that every issue is logged andfollowed up with all concerned stakeholders till it has beensatisfactorily resolved.
  • Conduct regularresearch on contemporary AV/home automation practices and recommendimprovements/enhancements.

Minimum Educational,Technical Qualifications/CertificationsRequired

  • Bachelor's degree inElectrical & Electronics or a degree in audio/visualengineering, sound engineering or a related field, such as digitalmedia.
  • Experience & certification onCrestron, Savant, RTI or other similartechnologies
  • Licensing certificates like theCertified Technology Specialist (CTS) will be anadvantage.
  • Experience/certification with anyother AV platform such as Dynalite, Neutron, RTI, Biamp, Bitwise,Wlan, etc..
  • Project Management certificationssuch as PMP or Agile will be an advantage.

Minimum ProfessionalExperience Required

  • 10 to 12 years' experiencewith AV and home automation systems, preferably with a reputedAV/IT Solutions Provider or Systems Integrator

Special RequirementsAnd Conditions

  • Driving license is amust.
  • Own car will be anadvantage.
