Climate Data Analyst

The Credit Risk Projects and Portfolio Analysisteam is part of the Group Risk function. It holds functionalownership and responsibility for assigned riskrelated projects.This includes coordinating all Group Risk projects portfolioanalyses and climate risk analytics. The unit collaborates closelywith IT various Group Risk units business and control functionstakeholders and external vendors to shape and deliver thestrategic vision for risk projects. All efforts are aligned withthe Group Risk Departments overallobjectives.
Witha focus on regulatory complianceincluding the UAE Climate DecreeNDC commitments and the Groups Decarbonization Planthe Group isinitiating an emissions reduction pathway. The analyst in this rolewill provide analytical support by evaluating data trackingindustry trends analyzing the Groups financed emissions anddeveloping models for scenario analysis to inform emissionsreductionstrategies.
RoleSpecifications
Education:
A degree in engineering is essential along with a thoroughunderstanding of various emissionintensive production andindustrialprocesses.
Experience:
Up to 3 years of relevant experience is required preferably withsome exposure to financialservices.
Knowledge& Skills:
Therole demands high proficiency in data modelling and data analysisusing Python tools and Excel VBA. Experience in crossfunctionalcollaboration and managing analytical components of projects is aplus.
BehavioralCompetencies:
The idealcandidate will be an original thinker with a problemsolving mindsetand a positive attitude. Being a strong team player with a focus oncontinuous improvement and learning isdesirable.
