We are seeking aSenior Transport Modeller with over 10years of experience to join our Regional Transport Advisory& Planning Team inDubai.

Responsibilities

• Completeassigned tasks efficiently and to highstandards.
• Adhere to AtkinsQuality Manual andProcedures.
• Coordinateeffectively with other design disciplines.
• Planand organise both your own work and that of others asneeded.

TechnicalCompetencies

Essential:

• Aminimum degree in planning ortransportation with over 10 years ofrelevant postgraduate professionalexperience.
• Approved as an RTADubai Level 3 Traffic Impact Study (TIS) TransportModeller with experience in using the DubaiStrategic Transport Model.
• Deep understandingof transport model developmentmodelling principles transportation planning public transporttransitoriented development and urban planningpolicies.
• Ability to present transportmodelling and planning projects across all phases and interpretstudies to skilled audiences.
• Practicalknowledge of transport planningincluding development access citywide mobility and addressingpeoples needs.
• Strong client interfaceskills.
• Experience providingjunction analyses to support trafficimpact assessments.
• Contribute to thepreparation of transport model usermanuals technical notes andreports.
• Prepare transportplanning reports including analyses of existingconditions trip generation junction analysis and parkingassessments.
• Project management experience inthe Middle East with familiarity with local trends transportmodelling and planning standards.
• Competence inprogramming software such as VB andPython.
• ExcellentEnglish communication skills both written andspoken.
• Ability to learn and retain new skillsquickly from various sources.
• Capable ofworking with limited supervision.
• Experience inprojectmanagement.
• Familiarity withQuality AssuredSystems.

Requirements

Theideal candidate will:

• Hold aprofessional degree in a relevantfield with a Masters qualificationbeing an advantage.
• Have at least10 years of professional experience intransport modelling and trafficengineering.
• Possess a strong working knowledgeof strategic transport models usingplatforms such as PTV Vision (VISUM) Citilabs (Cube Voyager) EMMEetc.
• Have experience withActivityBased Transport Modeldevelopment which will be considered a valuableasset.

Desirable:

• Abilityto communicate in Arabic both writtenand spoken.
• Experience contributing to thedesign and development of land use plans from small plot plans tolarge masterplans.
• Working knowledge ofmicrosimulation software such asVISSIMaaSIDRASYNCHROHCMetc.
• Proficiency inExcel and GISsoftware.
