Acting as the transport planning/engineering lead on TIS/TMP masterplanning traffic engineeringplanning and parking projects and much more.
Theduties fall broadly into two categories Team Management andTechnical Leadership and Management. Key duties are asfollows.
Technical Leadership andManagement
- Be aware of andadhere to relevant legislation codes of practice and departmentalpolicies when planning and directing the delivery of transportmodelling related projects in the region. In particular Abu Dhabiand KSA.
- Continuously improve technical andindustry knowledge by participating in forums and other industryrelated programs.
- Interact and coordinate withother business lines on various multidisciplinaryprojects;
- Manage the preparation of clientreports bringing together the contributions from other specialistareas of the business. Whilst supervising of workload of theteam.
- Developing Technical and FinancialProposals and take on Project Management for delivery of transportplanning tasks and projects.
- Develop detailedmethodologies for carrying out transportation planning works onmultidisciplinary projects.
- Produce and deliverpresentations to clients and teams.
- Reviewinternal processes for effectiveness and efficiency and suggestpossible areas for improvement wherenecessary.
Team Management
- Someone who has teamleadership skills can mentor and develop others to help grow andstrengthen the team andindividuals.
- Effectively represent AECOM torelevant government departments external agencies and other bodiesappropriate to the post.
- Plan direct anddeliver the services in accordance with appropriate procedures andlegislation.
- Develop and implement initiativesto enhance AECOMs Transport Planning services offering product andsupporting infrastructure (e.g. software modelling tools capabilitystatement etc.)
- Maintain a watching brief onbest working practices within and beyond local government andensure these are effectively communicated to theteam.
MinimumRequirements
- 15 yearsminimum experience
- Middle Eastexperience would beadvantageous
