Job Summary: Oversee civil engineering activities on a major onshore oil and gas project in Abu Dhabi, supervising construction, installation, and quality control of civil structures to ensure compliance with project specifications, ADNOC standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage field civil engineering activities including site preparation, earthworks, foundations, concrete structures, and road construction.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, industry regulations, and project specifications for all civil works.
  • Provide technical oversight and quality control for contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to design and construction requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and quality checks on civil structures and installations to ensure alignment with HSE standards and project objectives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support seamless integration of civil works with other project disciplines.
  • Review and validate civil engineering drawings, structural designs, and technical documentation confirming accuracy and project alignment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve civil engineering issues onsite ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained throughout.
  • Prepare field reports, daily progress logs, inspection records, and other documentation to track project progress and ensure timely submission.
  • Interface with client representatives, project managers, and other stakeholders to communicate project status and address any civil engineering concerns.
  • Support project scheduling, resource allocation, and planning for civil engineering tasks to ensure project milestones are met.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of field civil engineering experience with at least 5 years on ADNOC Onshore projects or other major oil and gas projects in the Middle East.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil construction practices including foundation work, earthworks, concrete structures, and infrastructure development.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil engineering drawings, specifications, and industry codes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in quality assurance, HSE compliance, and construction management.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ACI, ASTM) and ADNOC regulatory requirements related to civil works.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and client representatives.
  • Relevant certifications in civil engineering or project management are an advantage.
  • Must be immediately available to join.
