Job Responsibilities
  • Prepares and provides EEG clinic preparation for early morning.
  • Ensures consent is taken prior to any procedure.
  • Explains procedures to patients with support of their language with PRO department staff (if needed). Checks for any contraindications to the procedure and informs the Doctor if any.
  • Conducts EEG recordings, nerve conduction studies, assists Neurologist in EMG examination, evoked response testing, polysomnographic recording, and monitoring of responses during patient testing.
  • Participates in any QI activities and attends continuing education activities relevant to mandatory requirements.
  • Maintains current knowledge of procedures and maintenance of new equipment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
  • Maintains the stock of disposables required in the department.
  • Maintains current knowledge of policies and procedures of NMCSH – Dubai.
  • Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested by the Head of the Department.
  • Follows appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations, and Joint Commission International norms while treating or managing patients as well as while discharging professional duties.
Desired Candidate Profile

Diploma/Certificate in EEG Technology, preferably certified by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologies, and 1-2 years of experience as an EEG technician.

Current license in the country of origin with DHA license to practice in Dubai, U.A.E.

  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience as an EEG technician.
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Arabic speaking is desirable but not essential.
