JobPurpose:

To manage anassigned portfolio of operational clean energy assets under theEurope platform to deliver the business cases and to maximize valueby ways of financial engineering operational enhancementsrelationship management and strategic exits while practisingbestinclass governance and adhering to reportingneeds.

Management ofportfolio of assets and/or platformcompanies:

  • Managethe due diligence streams third parties consultants ownership andaccountability financial modelling preparation of internal briefingmaterial and closing arrangements.
  • Prepare andimplement financial and operational controls frameworks andprocesses in a portfolio managementenvironment.
  • Execute portfolio activitiesacross multiple energy and preferably renewable operatingassets.
  • Ensure achievement operational andfinancial turnaround in energy and renewableassets.
  • Manage postacquisitionintegration (PMI) and asset optimization(operation technicalfinancial):

Managementof relationships with investmentpartners 

  • Developprofessional relationships with Masdar Investment Partners (e.g.JVs) and actively participate in meetings ensuring adequaterepresentation of Masdar and its interests at alltimes.
  • Conduct regular high intensityinteraction with investment partners portfolio companies andprojects and contribute to accurate information exchange throughvarious reportsetc.

Managementand reporting on assetperformance:

  • Manageand report on periodic assessments of ongoing asset performancecontinued value enhancement potential and areas of risk on theasset base.
  • Ensure accurate monitoring andassessment of asset value and risk drivers as well as systematicreporting and prioritization of opportunities andrisks

Managethird party capital and debt relevant to assetmanagement:

  • Actas a focal point to providers of third party financing for assignedassets and identify and manage the implementation of refinancinglevers for value enhancement.
  • Maintainrelationships with financing parties to understand market statusand trends. Management of exitopportunities
  • Identify and evaluate exitopportunities and exit strategy for assets that are beingmanaged.
  • Maintain familiarity and connectionswith potential buyeruniverse.

Managementof stakeholders and thirdparty serviceproviders:

  • Ensurerelationships with service level providers are managed smoothly andeffectively in a way that guarantees that Masdar is provided withquality and timely services in line with relevant service levelagreements.
  • As and when required by managementpersonally manage key relationships/negotiations with relevantinternal and external stakeholders in order to ensure thenegotiation and agreement of favourable deals and agreements thatsafeguard Masdars best interests while ensuring the delivery ofnecessary needs/goals. Continuous improvement of policies systemsand processes
  • Contribute to the continuousimprovement and implementation of unit systems policies andprocedures covering all areas of activity so that all relevantprocedural/ legislative requirements and standards are fulfilledwhile ensuring that policies and procedures support the delivery ofthestrategy.

Reportingtostakeholders:

  • Completeall relevant reports in a comprehensive accurate and timely mannerand comply with international principles of corporate governanceand standards and shareholderrequirements.

Qualifications:

PreferredQualifications:

  • MBA orrelevant Masters degree from a toptier internationally recognizedhigher education institution
  • Bachelors degreein engineering or related field
  • PreferredExperience:
  • Minimum of 25 years of experiencein senior roles in energy and renewables investment banking andasset management/portfolio operations in an energy investmentenvironment or an equivalentexperience
  • Experience with preparing andimplementing financial and operational controls frameworks andprocesses in a portfolio managementenvironment
  • Experience in utility IPPs orprivate equity
  • Experience in the assignedregion is required
  • Experience in renewableenergy/Infrastructure investments and businessdevelopment
