Senior Design Mechanical Plumbing Engineer

Description of theRole

  • Provide Mechanical& Plumbing engineering services including but not limitedto design and design review services for building andinfrastructure projects in the UAE andinternationally.
  • Review of HVAC and Plumbingdesigns calculations and reports as per Abu Dhabi Municipalityrequirements.
  • Attend site visits and meetingsas required by the project and theclients.
  • Identify business opportunities forSOCOTEC and work closely with the Commercial team to developthese.
  • Assist the Commercial team with thepreparation of fee proposals andquotations.
  • Liaise with Technical Manager andAccountant for reporting and invoicing.
  • AssistTechnical Manager Accountant and Managing Director in analyzing thefinancial data associated with yourprojects.

Duties andResponsibilities

  • Beresponsible for the delivery of the highest quality of work toSOCOTEC clients.
  • Deliver services within thetimeframes dictated by the client andSOCOTEC.
  • Responsible for ensuring that work iscarried out as per the relevantinstructions.
  • Consistently exceed clientsexpectations.
  • Comply with SOCOTECs grouppolicies and procedures.
  • Achieve and maintainthe highest qualification levels determined by SOCOTEC for therelevant consultancy disciplines.
  • Take anactive and full role in the quality assurance of services deliveredby SOCOTEC through document review supervision audit and assessmentof other staff members providing support and leadership to theengineering team.
  • Stand out as a good exampleto all staff.
  • Undertake such otherresponsibilities that might reasonably be required by thecompany.
  • Ensure the highest standards ofadministration.

  • Complywith Socotec International and client quality safety andenvironmental systems and procedures at alltimes.
  • Ensure that all accidents incidents nearmisses or hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperworkis completed.
  • Work within the team to develop aculture where everyone embraces upholds and accepts responsibilityfor a safe workplace a healthy working life a sustainableenvironment and the right and duty tointervene.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor orMaster Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8years experience including 4 years in AbuDhabi.
  • Knowledge of ADM codes and localregulations.
  • Experienced in international codesand local regulations.
  • Experienced inMechanical Design and Design Review in the building constructionindustry.
  • Experienced in international codesand local regulations.
  • Fluent in English.Arabicrecommended.
