Rolesummary:

As a Subcontracts Manageryou will be dedicated to the assigned Project and work under thedirection of the Project Manager. You will be responsible for allthe Subcontract activities for the Project in terms of costs timeand Quality.

What you will need todo:

  • Lead all postaward subcontract management during the execution under the controlof the Project Manager monitor and provide guidance and recommendmitigation actions for subcontractors postawardactivities.
  • Actively participate in closecollaboration with the Procurement Manager in elaboratingsubcontracting strategies negotiate and finalize subcontractagreements.
  • Commercial and contractualmanagement of the subcontractors including review of notices tocorrect variations claims etc in coordination with the ProjectContracts Manager. 
  • The role alsoincludes management of: a) the interim and final payments tosubcontractors b) the subcontractors claims and variations c) thenotices and correspondence with subcontractors. All theseactivities must be performed in close collaboration with theProject Contracts Manager and the Project ControlsManager.
  • Ensure that all SubcontractorPreAssessment and Subcontract Performance Evaluation are done incompliance with the procedure to improve the performance ofcompany/project in Subcontractorselection.
  • Finalize the Comparison Statement(CS) and make recommendations only for technically acceptablesolutions with proper and documented technicalcommercial andevaluation report and seek authorityapproval.
  • Identification of contractual risksand implementation of correct mitigation actions for thesubcontracting activities.
  • Manage and negotiateall Variation Orders and get approvals and prepares amendments withthe support of the Project ContractsManager.
  • Ensure continuous alignment with theCompany Contractual Policy and Client Contractualrequirements.
  • Maintain the Project ProcurementPlan up to date.
  • Coordinate with other Sitedepartments to get the necessary information related to theprogress of the Project to manage properly all theSubcontracts;
  • Organize and manage the KickoffMeetings with Subcontractors ensuring that all Contract terms andobligations are clearly explained andunderstood.
  • Ensure on a monthly basis an updateof the subcontractors claims table the forecast of thesubcontractors budget and the identification of possible comingvariation/risks.
  • Ensure all records and filesfor each Subcontract are maintained in an orderly fashion andproperly files.
  • Manage the Subcontract closeout and relevant taking over and final acceptancecertificates.
  • Ensure subcontractors performanceevaluations is performed as per Companyguidelines.

What youwill need tohave: 

  • EngineeringUniversity degree in Mechanical or Electrical or CivilEngineering
  • Experience working with leading EPCcontractors in the energy sector isessential.
  • Work experience in EPCM contracts isnice to have.
  • Contractual skills and excellentwritten skills
  • Effective and efficient verbaland written communication skills.
  • Capability toperform under stressful situations.
  • Costestimation planning and risk managementknowledge.
  • Good knowledge of ERP software andMS office.
  • Basic knowledge of Primavera P6software/ Microsoft Projects or other Project managementtools.
