JobDescription: We are seeking ahighly skilled & experienced Mechanical Inspector who willbe responsible for providing technical support to the ProjectManager and for reviewing monitoring inspecting and supervising allmechanical works during the construction phase of the Project.He/she shall have the responsibility for checking that thecontractor s work is .carried out in accordance with best practicesstatutory and clientrequirements.


Responsibilities:

Assist theMechanical Engineer in performing the contractual duties onsite.

Maintain adetailed diary of the day s work activities issues work approved orrejected hours of operation labour and equipment used etc. and signat the end of eachday.

AttendInspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and takeappropriate action in a timelymanner.

Monitor qualityof works ensuring the same complies with contracts / QCSspecifications on a dailybasis.

PrepareSurveillance Report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site thatare believed to have failed or if the contractor is not complyingwith verbal instructions and subsequently complete a NonConformanceReport (NCR) if required in view of the development ofevents.

Providetechnical input and experiences to resolve any discipline relatedissues on site that mayarise.

Oversee andinspect all mechanical work and ensure that installation activitiescomply with contractual obligations and quality controlstandards.

Receive materialinspection requests (MIR) from contractor inspect materialsdelivered at site and report on quantity and technical complianceand sign offrequests.

Prepare/completethe necessary documentation prior to inspection of the Works andprocess accordingly following completion of theinspection.

Keep monitor andfollow up as necessary and maintain complete record(s) concerningthe execution of theworks.

Ensures that theproject quality control procedures are used for the constructionsupervision works and monitors it forimprovement.

Ensure siteprogress information is communicatedregularly.

Perform allother duties that may be requested by teamleadership

Coordinate theworks to ensure successful handover of theproject


ProgressMeetings

Attend weeklytechnical meeting if required and directed by ProjectManager

Attend QA/QCMeetings and identify issues concerning qualitystandards

Attend andreport site coordination sessions with MEP contractor &subcontractors

ProjectCoordination

Coordinate withArchitectural / Structural / Mechanical Disciplines for ensuringelectrical requirements are addressedadequately

Coordinate withProject Manager for siteissues

MonitorContractor s works for compliance MEP QA/QCPlans

Coordinate withMEP Contractor / SubContractors site representatives for accuracyand sequencing ofworks

Report&Records

Report commentson WIR s asapplicable.

Issue SiteObservation Notes and NCRs asapplicable.

Prepare notes onMEP QA/QC issues ifapplicable.

Coordinate withElectrical Engineer and prepare responses to RFI setc.

Check and verifyElectrical Asbuilt drawings asapplicable.



Requirements
  • Diplomaor Degree in MechanicalEngineering.
  • Minimum7 to 8 years of relevant experience in civil inspection of highriseresidential towerprojects
  • Must haveminimum 3 years experience working on similar projects inDubai.
  • Trakheesaccreditation will be anadvantage.
  • Extensiveexperience in Testing & Commissioning of HVAC systems ofapartment building projects inDubai
  • Strongverbal and written communication skills inEnglish
  • Abilityto accurately document field activities through reports andphotos
  • Abilityto track ongoing construction activities as well as schedulemanpower and coordinate upcoming construction activities related tomechanicalworks
  • Abilityto read and interpret mechanicaldrawings/specifications
  • Ensurethe quality of contractor work in accordance with contractdocuments

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 7 to 8 yearsof relevant experience in civil inspection of high-rise residentialtower projects, Must have minimum 3 years experience working onsimilar projects in Dubai. Extensive experience in Testing &Commissioning of HVAC systems of apartment building projects inDubai
