ApplicationSupport EngineerResponsibilities:

  • Providingsoftware application support under the supervision of yourTL.
  • Performing analyses on software applicationfunctionality and suggestingimprovements.
  • Ensuring effective front end andback end functionality ofapplications.
  • Consulting with the softwaredevelopment team, internal users, and clients to improveapplication performance.
  • Follow proper ReleaseManagement processes across environments to ensure continued andsynchronized functionality.
  • Establishing theroot causes of application errors and escalate serious concerns toyour TL.
  • Keeping a record of configurationchanges and scheduling applicationupdates.
  • Providing front end support to clientsand colleagues in otherdepartments.

ApplicationSupport EngineerRequirements:

  • ABachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science,Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering,or similar working experience.
  • Demonstrableexperience as an Application Support Engineer in a relatedfield.
  • Good knowledge using T-SQL and Databasemanagement.
  • Coding languages would beadvantages I.e. C#, JavaScript, Angular,VB.Net.
  • Ability to document configurationchanges, and monitor performance.
  • Exceptionalability to provide front end support to internal departments andweb-based clients.
  • Proficiency in determiningthe causes of application errors and repairingthem.
  • Ability to keep up with innovation inapplication design.
  • Exceptional communicationskills.

Autonomy:

  • Worksunder general direction.
  • Uses discretion inidentifying and responding to complex issues andassignments.
  • Receives specific direction,accepts guidance, and has work reviewed at agreed milestones.Determines when issues should be escalated to a higherlevel.
