  • AProcurement Engineer is a professionalwho focuses on managing the sourcing, purchasing, and acquisitionof materials, equipment, and services for engineering projects.Their role typically involves overseeing the procurement processfrom start to finish, ensuring that the necessary resources areobtained in a timely manner, within budget, and in accordance withthe project's specifications and quality standards.Procurement Engineers often work in industries such asconstruction, manufacturing, energy, and technology, where there isa strong need for sourcing technical components andmaterials.

  • Lead the procurementprocess for construction building materials from suppliers inChina.
  • Identify and establish strongrelationships with reliable Chinese suppliers andmanufacturers.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, anddelivery schedules to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery ofmaterials.
  • Review and evaluate supplierproposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications andquality standards.
  • Conduct market research andanalysis to identify new suppliers and optimize sourcingstrategies.
  • Monitor inventory levels andcoordinate logistics to ensure materials arrive on time and withinbudget.
  • Collaborate closely with projectmanagers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure procurementaligns with project timelines andrequirements.
  • Manage documentation, includingpurchase orders, contracts, shipping, and customsclearance.
  • Handle any issues related tomaterial quality, delivery delays, or supplierperformance.
  • Stay up-to-date with internationaltrade regulations, tariffs, and other factors affectingprocurement.

  • Expertise innegotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms,prices, and delivery schedules.
  • Ability tomanage supplier relationships and resolve conflictseffectively.

3. ProjectManagement

  • Proficiencyin planning and organizing procurement tasks in alignment withproject timelines and milestones.
  • Managingmultiple procurement activities simultaneously while ensuringdeadlines are met.

4.Supply ChainManagement

  • Understandingof supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics toensure timely and cost-effective delivery ofmaterials.
  • Ability to evaluatesuppliers' capacity and capabilities to meet deliveryschedules and quality standards.

5.Cost Management andBudgeting

  • Ability toanalyze pricing structures, calculate total cost of ownership, andadhere to budget constraints.
  • Identifyingcost-saving opportunities while maintaining the quality ofmaterials and services procured.

6.RiskManagement

  • Identifyingrisks related to procurement processes, such as supply chaindisruptions, delays, or non-compliance withspecifications.
  • Developing mitigationstrategies to handle unforeseen issues that may arise during theprocurement process.

7.ContractManagement

  • Knowledge ofcontract law and terms to ensure that agreements with suppliers andcontractors are legally sound.
  • Reviewing andmanaging procurement contracts to ensure compliance with agreedterms.

8. QualityAssurance

  • Ensuring thatpurchased materials, equipment, and services meet the requiredtechnical and quality specifications.
  • Workingwith quality assurance teams to perform inspections and checks ondelivered goods.
