  • Knowledge of basic engineeringprocesses
  • Familiarity with international codes,standards and engineering practices
  • Must befamiliar with all aspects of design from concept to detaileddesign
  • Technical analysis of engineeringproblems
  • Must possess a strong technicalbackground in the design of petroleum refineries, process plants,onshore and offshore pipelines and crude oil tankfarms.
  • Must have experience in the preparationof scope of works, civil design basis, civil specifications,architectural plans, sections, elevations anddrawings.
  • Must be able to generate detailedcalculations and drawings for all civil and RC / steelstructures.
  • Ability to review vendordocumentation, civil specifications, geotechnical and topographicalreports.
  • Must have a ability to prepareengineering deliverables as per company technical competencystandard
  • Building design ( blast resistantsubstation
  • Compressor /pump design i.e dynamicfoundation design
  • Overview of Undergrounddrainage like AOC , COC etc

  • Design andPlanning

    • Design andplan civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges,buildings, water systems, and drainagesystems.
    • Prepare detailed designs and drawingsusing design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Revit) andengineering calculations.
    • Conduct feasibilitystudies and site surveys to assess the practicality andenvironmental impact of proposedprojects.
    • Develop cost estimates, timelines,and resource requirements for constructionprojects.

  • ConstructionManagement

    • Oversee theconstruction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time,within budget, and in accordance with designspecifications.
    • Coordinate with contractors,subcontractors, and construction teams to manage daily operations,materials, and equipment.
    • Monitor constructionprogress, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, qualitystandards, and building codes.
    • Resolveconstruction issues, delays, and unexpected problems that may ariseduring theproject.

  • SiteInspection andSupervision

    • Inspectconstruction sites to ensure compliance with engineering designs,safety standards, and regulatoryrequirements.
    • Supervise fieldwork, ensuringthat construction processes meet the required specifications andstandards.
    • Perform quality control andassurance checks on materials and construction methods, ensuringsafety and structuralintegrity.

  • Geotechnicaland StructuralAnalysis

    • Conductgeotechnical investigations to assess soil properties and siteconditions for building foundations.
    • Performstructural analysis, ensuring the stability and safety ofstructures like bridges, buildings, dams, andtunnels.
    • Design foundations, retaining walls,and other structural elements based on soil data and loadrequirements.

  • EnvironmentalImpact andSustainability

    • Evaluatethe environmental impact of construction projects and designsystems to reduce ecological effects.
    • Developstrategies for water management, waste disposal, and pollutioncontrol, ensuring compliance with environmentalregulations.
    • Promote sustainability in civilengineering practices by implementing green building methods,renewable energy solutions, and environmentally friendlydesigns.

  • Costand BudgetManagement

    • Preparedetailed project cost estimates, monitor spending, and ensure thatconstruction projects stay within budget.
    • Trackand report on project expenses, ensuring that any cost overruns areaddressed promptly.
    • Negotiate with contractorsand suppliers to secure cost-effective materials and services forconstructionprojects.
