Director of TransferCenter PositionSummary
Works with NationalDirector to create initiatives and strategy for growth,development, and outreach initiatives. Develops Transfer Centerprotocols that focus on patient-centered care, to ensure transfersare managed effectively. Coordinates with Transfer Center Managerto carry out policies, procedures, standards, and objectives infacilitating safe and EMTALA compliant timely transfers in a 24/7operation.
Responsibilities:
Exhibitseffective communication and collaboration with hospital andcommunity leadership. Responsible for 24/7 operation, exerting aleadership role which supports the Tenet's mission, vision,goals and objectives, while focusing on the patients, physicians,employees, volunteers and the community as customers. Ongoingaccountability for the continuous assessment, improvement,coordination and integration of the department services andstandards of care into the hospital's primary function.Position is responsible for strategic planning, reporting,budgetary and fiscal accountability, employee evaluation, meetingapplicable regulatory standards, and approving supplyorders.
THE DIRECTOR OF TRANSFERCENTER CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION,LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, ANDEXPERIENCE.
EDUCATION:
Required:Bachelor degree in Nursing, Business Administration,Management or related field, or equivalent minimum experiencerequirements.
Preferred:BSN orMSN.
EXPERIENCE:
Required:5 years of experience in nursing management in a hospital settingwith three years of supervisory experiencerequired.
Preferred:Prior experience managing or director of a Transfer CenterProgram.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:Registered Nurse License.
