Role Overview:

Our client is a rapidly growing asset manager looking to expand their investment team with a Cross-Asset Quantitative Analyst. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience working as a quant analyst, ideally with strong macro knowledge and previous experience working across multiple asset classes.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced quantitative analysis, including cross-asset analysis, across a wide range of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, commodities, and derivatives.
  • Collaborate with the wider investment teams and the CIO of the firm to optimize asset allocation and enhance risk-adjusted returns.
  • Design and build sophisticated quantitative models to evaluate investment strategies and optimize portfolio performance.
  • Provide recommendations on instrument selection and position sizing based on quantitative analysis and market insights.
  • Conduct rigorous back-testing of trading strategies and theories to validate performance and refine methodologies.
  • Stay on top of market developments and macroeconomic trends, particularly across US, European, and MENA markets.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trade ideas and assess potential risks.
  • Develop and implement systematic trading strategies based on quantitative models and historical data analysis.

Target Profile:

  • Proficiency in Python is essential, as well as a deep understanding or familiarity with other programming languages would be a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative modelling, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques applied to financial data.
  • Strong understanding of global financial markets, with a focus on commodities trading and macroeconomic factors influencing market dynamics.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative in generating investment ideas and implementing trading strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of self-motivation and work ethic along with the ability to complete assignments quickly and accurately
  • Communicate investment ideas and insights effectively to stakeholders, other team members, and the CIO.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing market conditions and evolving investment strategies, with a continuous focus on learning and skill development.
