Responsibilities

KeyTasks and Responsibilities:

  • Execute and oversee the hook-up andcommissioning activities in compliance with industry standards,project specifications, and safetyregulations
  • Develop and implement detailedhook-up plans, commissioning procedures, and strategies for onshoreand offshore projects
  • Coordinate and superviseinterdisciplinary teams involved in hook-up and commissioningactivities, ensuring efficient projectexecution
  • Conduct pre-commissioning andcommissioning activities such as systems testing, equipmentinspections, and functional checks
  • Identify andresolve technical issues during the hook-up and commissioningphase, in collaboration with relevantstakeholders
  • Review project specifications,drawings, and design documents to ensure technical completeness andaccuracy for hook-up and commissioning
  • Providetechnical guidance and support to junior engineers, ensuring theiradherence to project timelines and qualitystandards
  • Collaborate with project managementand procurement teams to ensure timely availability of necessaryresources, materials, and equipment
  • Conductrisk assessments and implement mitigation measures to ensure safetyduring hook-up and commissioningoperations
  • Ensure compliance with projectrequirements, industry codes, and standards, including theintegration of environmental and sustainabilityaspects
Desired candidate profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering(preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical discipline) orequivalent industry experience
  • Provenexperience of 7 years in hook-up and commissioning within theEngineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI)industry, preferably in oil and gas or offshoreprojects
  • Strong knowledge of industry bestpractices, standards (API, ISO), and regulations related to hook-upand commissioning activities
  • Proficiency inutilizing project management tools and software for planning,scheduling, and tracking hook-up and commissioningactivities
  • Excellent communication andleadership skills to effectively liaise with interdisciplinaryteams, stakeholders, and clients
  • Demonstratedability to resolve technical challenges, implement innovativesolutions, and ensure continuousimprovement
  • Proactive mindset with a strongfocus on safety, quality, and delivering projects within definedtimelines and budget constraints
  • Competent inanalyzing technical documents, drawings, and specifications toidentify discrepancies and propose correctiveactions
  • Strong decision-making abilities underpressure, with the ability to prioritize tasks and allocateresources efficiently
  • Professionalcertifications (such as PMI or equivalent) or training in projectmanagement would be anadvantage
