QualificationsandRequirements:

  • Degreein Engineering Construction or similar with 15 years ofexperience

  • Prior experiencein mega residential projects as part of the PMC/Construction teamis mandatory

  • UAE (Abu Dhabi)experience ismandatory

Beneficialqualifications:

  • CSCSSMSTS/SSSTS Recognised safety programme First Aid LiftingSupervisor Certification Traffic management Institutionalmembership.

Responsibilities:

Performance: 

  • Effectivedelivery of sitewide logistics through the procurement of asitewide Logistics management contractor. Define and monitor thatthe scope of services is delivered satisfactorily through settingand monitoring of measurable goals and objectives around thefollowing broad keyenablers:

  • Orderly safe andefficiently movement of labour plant and materials aroundsite.

  • Planning the locationof haul roads laydown external access and offloading zones tominimise obstruction and impacts toprogramme.

  • Creation of asecure well maintained site with regular (weekly) logisticsmeetings.

  • Efficient andorderly management of any workersaccommodation.

  • Developmentof processes procedures and inductionprogrammes.

  • Supply chainmanagement movement plans and lookaheadforecasting.

  • Ensuringlogistics activities are not a constraining factor on theprogram

  • Creating ofsitespecific safety manual with appropriate first aid cover andequipment present

  • Developmaintain and update the Site EmergencyPlan.

  • Ensuring informationis communicated effectively around thesite.

  • Planning for effectivesignage in line with corporatebranding

  • Efficientmanagement of any special public access roads access to showhouses/sales pavilionsetc.

  • Provision of aneffective security management system that ensures all the above isachievable.

ChangeManagement: 

  • Variationsand adjustments to Logistics Contractors scope review therequirements and assess the impacts. Monitor construction changemanagement process via theEngineer.

Permitting:

  • TheLogistics Contractors acquisition of all necessary permits forsmooth logisticsoperations.

Cost:

  • Reviewcompleteness of established budgets and review cost plans. Ensurethat work is remeasured and work is signed off in accordance withthecontract.

Planning: 

  • Themonthly detailed graphical time slice showing plot andinfrastructure activities and how logistics will support. Reviewweekly plans confirm the activities are accurate and coordinatedacrossstakeholders.

Risk:

  • Reviewdetailed risk register developed by logistics contractor and teamcoordinated with all site stakeholders complete with implementmitigationplan.

Interface:

  • Providecoordination across all programme consultants and stakeholdersrelated to logistics works. Provide support to plots in terms ofexternal access and influences that impact plotactivities.

Communication: 

  • Throughregular meetings highlight issues concerns and roll out weeklydirections to stakeholders team managers. Seek resolution to anyissues with the respective plot infrastructure or logistics teamsor escalate with the proposed mitigationplan.

Reporting:

  • Weeklyissues through detailed logisticsdashboards.

Assurance:

  •  Submissionof checklists of all logistics contractor selfaudits (QA SafetyEnvironmental Welfare etc. review and report onstatus.
