AtkinsRalisare currently looking for a degree qualified Construction Directorwith over 20 years experience in Transportation/Rail projects. Thisperson must be forward thinking and experienced in running largemultidisciplined site teams.

The ConstructionDirector will be a qualified professional who is currently workingat Director level and is capable of providing planning leadershipdirection and technical expertise to manage complex tasks andmultidisciplinary projects. He must have a minimum qualificationBSc BEng BA or equivalent have Chartered status and more than 20years experience with 7 being similar to thisproject/role.

The Construction Director will alsobe responsible for maintaining and enhancing AtkinsRealisreputation with our clients and developing effective long termclient relationships thus identifying and developing newopportunities.

Requirements:

  • Musthave a minimum qualification as BSc BEng or equivalent. Advanceddegree and Chartered status are preferrable.
  • 20years experience with 7 being similar to thisproject/role.
  • Experience with large scaleconstruction operations management of multiple contractsparticularly rail.
  • Highly articulateexperienced in reporting and communication to seniorexecutives.
  • An experienced ConstructionDirector with a demonstrable track record in the delivery of largemultifunctional infrastructure projects particularlyRail.
  • Excellent knowledge of constructiontechniques as well project controls procedures quality and health&safety.
  • A roundedprofile comfortable with planning analysis and managing process andcommercial considerations. The successful candidate will also beable to mobilise people and teams and drive for a successfuldelivery.
  • Effective in building good workingrelationships within complex structures both within projects withClients and internally.
  • Willing to work 60hours per week as advised by theclient.

PrincipleActivities:

  • Manage amultifunctional site supervision team responsible for delivering alarge scale rail infrastructure project.
  • Managekey stakeholder interfaces which will include all departmentswithin the Client organisation as well as other governmentdepartments.
  • Overall construction managementand control.
  • Monitor contractors for compliancewith their contractualresponsibilities.
  • Monitor progress of theconstruction for compliance withschedule.
  • Ensure delivery of projects to timecost and quality and ensuring highest standards of Health &Safety are achieved.
  • Ensure resources areappropriate to meet current and future commitments and to maximiseopportunities.
  • Must be forward thinking andexperienced in running large multidisciplined siteteams.
