Assistant Resident Engineer

JobSummary

The Assistant ResidentEngineer will work with AECOMs construction supervision disciplineengineers independently or under the direction of the ResidentEngineer advising on all engineering matters related to roadsconstruction.

KeyResponsibilities

• Reviewand approve Contractors technical submittals including shopdrawings method statements and materials as delegated by theResident Engineer.
• Oversee Inspectors dailyactivities review their reports and provide guidance on thesupervision of the Contractorsoperations.
• Coordinate with Contractorssupervisory personnel regarding schedule sequence and method ofwork.
• Monitor project progress identifypotential delays and recommend recoveryactions.
• Ensure high quality of works duringthe construction period strict compliance with the EmployersRequirements Project Specifications and SafetyRequirements.
• Review Contractors design forcompliance with Employers Requirements Authority RequirementsEndUser Requirements and Local and InternationalStandards.
• Prepare and submit daily and weeklyreports to the Resident Engineer detailing progress nonconformitiesand any issues requiring attention.
• Participatein project construction meetings and assist in resolvingconstruction problems.
• Review asbuilt drawingsand assist in punch list preparation.
• Performclaims analysis and evaluate Contractors personnel equipmentmaterials andsubcontractors.

Qualifications:

MinimumQualification

• BachelorDegree in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civiletc.)
• Minimum 12 years of related ConstructionSupervision / Management experience on projects with a broadgeneral engineering background. 
• Musthave worked on projects in the capacity of a Senior Engineer and /or Assistant Resident Engineer as aminimum.
