PositionSummary:
Responsible for thedirection and performance of the PMC team for the commissioningstartup testing client turn over Services to ensure the work isperformed in conformance with the project objectives andrequirements. Manage monitor and control the EPC Contractorsstartup and commissioning team with respect to safety cost scheduleand quality through to completion of the commissioning and turnoveractivities.
Duties andResponsibilities:
Implement and maintain aneffective safety process as related to commissioningactivities
Assist the Project Director and the ProjectManager in implementing and maintaining effective managementplanning and cost control systems
Advise the ProjectDirector and the Project Manger of developments that may affectproject HSE costs schedule or quality
Maintain a riskregister and effective mitigation plans for potential risks to theconstruction phase of the Contract
Review the Contractorsstartup and commissioning procedures and plans
Implementand maintain an effective quality assurance process as related tocommissioning activities
Be knowledgeable of EPC Contractterms and conditions and assist the Project Manager inadministering the Contract in accordance with policies &procedures for the maximum benefit of theCompany
Establish and maintain communications to ensureaccurate and timely flow of information
MonitorsContractor startup and commissioning progress and recommendcorrective actions as required to maintain Projectobjectives
Provide regular progress reports on startup andcommissioning activities to the Project Manager for inclusion inthe overall Contract progress reports
Monitor and reviewthe Contractors preparation of turnover books anddocumentation
Qualifications:
Proficient in managing anddirecting people communications (both written and verbal)negotiation skills and computer skills with Microsoft Officeproducts
B.Sc. in any engineering discipline or equivalentCollege degree or equivalent experience
15 to 20 yearsindustry experience
Relevant experience in startup&commissioning
