About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director – Engineering Services in Jumeirah Group & Corporate . The Associate Director will oversee and manage engineering operations, ensuring the effective delivery of engineering services, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support the organization's infrastructure and operational needs.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for engineering services to align with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the engineering department's budget, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effective utilisation of resources.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of engineering services and project outcomes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team and other departments, leveraging industry best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring their performance meets organisational standards.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on project status, department performance, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering services.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • UAE National as per government requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field). A Master's degree or relevant certifications is preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience in engineering management or a related field, with a proven track record of successful project delivery and team leadership, ideally in a hospitality or resort setting.
  • Strong multitasking, organisation and relationship-building skills with the ability to coordinate with multiple different stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience preparing reports and presenting to senior management.
