JobSummary

The Production Planner isresponsible for scheduling coordinating and planning productionactivities to ensure efficient workflow optimal resourceutilization and timely delivery of sales orders. This role involvesworking closely with supply chain procurement warehouse andproduction teams to manage material availability monitor productionschedules and ensure real time ERP integration for accurateplanning.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Production Planning andScheduling
  • Develop and maintain productionschedules based on demand forecasts capacity and resourceavailability.
  • Check production dashboards forscheduling and real time ERPupdates.
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain andProcurement teams to ensure materials are available for plannedproduction.
  • Material Planning andCoordination.
  • Calculate material requirementsusing ERP and planning tools ensuring accuracy and alignment withsupply chain needs.
  • Generate purchase requestsfor materials when necessary coordinating with the Procurementteam.
  • Ensure seamless material movement fromwarehouse to the shop floor in coordination with warehouseteams.
  • Production Monitoring andReporting.
  • Track progress of work ordersensuring adherence to productionschedules.
  • Identify variances in planned andactual material consumption and coordinate with the Costing Teamfor accuracy.
  • Work closely with the ProductionManager and Shop Floor Supervisors to oversee labor resourceentries and job closure in the ERPsystem.
  • Process Optimization andCompliance
  • Implement best practices forproduction efficiency reducing downtime and materialwaste.
  • Ensure compliance with company standardssafety regulations and quality controlguidelines.
  • Support continuous improvementinitiatives to enhance production workflow.

Required Qualifications andSkills

Education:

Bachelors degree in mechanical or industrial engineeringor equivalent with Manufacturing background.

Experience

Minimum five years in production planning or manufacturingoperations.

TechnicalSkills

Strong analytical skillsto assess material requirements and scheduling efficiency

Knowledge of lean manufacturing and processoptimization
