JobResponsibilities

  • Conduct regular thorough examinationson newborns and young children to check and record their health andnormal physical development
  • Reach an informeddiagnosis based on scientific knowledge and individual medicalhistory
  • Keep abreast of advancements inpaediatrics and best practices by attending seminars andconferences
  • Advise parents onchildren's diet, exercise and disease preventivemeasures
  • Prepare and administer vaccinesaccording to the governmental vaccinationplan
  • Keep updated records of patients'illnesses, surgeries or other medicalepisodes
  • Recommend and manage treatment,medication, therapy, vaccinations and additional specializedmedical care to prevent or treat diseases, injuries and illnesses;monitor progress and conditions and revise treatments asneeded
  • Advise and educate patients, parents andmembers of the community in regards to activity, diet, hygiene andother disease prevention methods
  • Coordinate andsupervise activities of therapists, assistants, nurses, studentsand other support staff; refer patients to a specialist or otherphysician when warranted

Requirements

RequiredQualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience as apediatrician
  • Medical Degree with specializationin pediatrics
  • Valid license to practicemedicine
  • Minimum five years of pediatricexperience
  • In depth knowledge of childrenepidemiology and infectious diseases
  • Exquisiteknowledge of diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation principlesand techniques
