Working within the Deliveryfunction the Bid Manager of UK Frameworks is responsible formanaging the delivery of bid submissions in response to customerengagements necessitating the successful listing of a client ontoPublic Sector Frameworks as well as specific open tenderresponses.

As Bid Manageryou will assemble a bid team with the relevant service / product /business knowledge required to prepare a winning bid whilst takingownership of the endtoend bid process. we support multiple clientsin a frameworks submission covering all high growth aspects of eachcategory of spend to ensure we can support those clients to thenwin call off contracts let under said framework.

You will show exceptional selflearning ability to get togrips with complex subject matters disparate information sourcesand be able to bring them together in a delivery process to ensurethat our internal subject matter expertise remains at the veryheart of our success in delivering knowledge transfer and supportto those who do not understand public procurement processes or howthe evaluation is driven from within the marketplace rather thanfrom a requirement of knowledge within their industry.

Responsibilities include the introduction andimplementation of all necessary bid procedures governance andprocesses. This is a highly networked role that requires an abilityto work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It requiresstrong people management and commercial skills.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate capability across allareas with the resilience flexibility and determination to trulymake a difference using strong knowledge capture and transfer toyour team commercial insights communicate where necessary with theProcurement functions at Framework and at end user level to betterprepare for the delivery phase.

Your daytoday duties as a Bid Manager willinclude:

  • Interfacingbetween Sales Delivery Product Supplier Intel & BI and Clientsincluding stakeholder management and communications betweenthem.
  • Creating and overseeing bid process plansincluding content capture and management and client guidance onbehalf the client to ensure successful placement on centralprocurement body frameworks inclusive of writing and creating alluser and delivery guides.
  • Devising a successfulstrategy for winning bids including pinpointing the keyrequirements (key differentiators) of the bid pack understandingthe procurement body specific requirements and conveying those tothe team and the clients.
  • Managing the bid teamin which specialists undertake separate parts of the biddingprocess.
  • Managing the technical platformconfiguration and reporting including alerts and dashboards toensure the bid is delivered on time against all interim KPIs foreach client ensuring the client has a smooth and pain freesuccessful and education experience.
  • Motivatemanage and develop the team including PDPs and liaising with ourAcademy on their skills development and knowledgeimprovement.
  • Influencing the bid qualification(bid go / no go) process for newopportunities.
  • Identifying all the requiredcontent for each specific lot of the contract and ensure that allclients are fully briefed on eachrequirement.
  • Risk tracking and managementthroughout the bid process creating templates to assess record andremediate technical knowledge resource and clientrisks.
  • Contributing to the written proposalEnsuring the winning strategy and win themes are articulatedeffectively throughout the bid response showing excellentappreciation of buyer needs.
  • Drive continuousimprovement through postbid reviews and retrospective lessonslearned for continuous service improvement.

As a Bid Manager you willhave:

  • Proven abilityin delivering projects
  • Minimum of 3 yearsleading a team
  • APMP Practitioner orProfessional level / Prince 2 Qualified
  • Soundcommercial understanding
  • Good written Englishand technical writing experience
  • Ability tomanage risks and complex multiworkstreamopportunities
  • Excellent analytical skills witha critical eye for detail
  • Proven leadershipability in officebased environments
  • Excellentcommunicator comfortable working at CEO/Directorlevel
  • Ability to present data clearly andconcisely
  • Highly organised with an ability towork to strict deadlines
