An AIEngineer is a specialized role focused on developingand implementing artificial intelligence (AI) systems, algorithms,and models that enable machines to mimic human behavior, solveproblems, and make decisions. AI Engineers typically work in fieldslike machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing(NLP), computer vision, robotics, and more. This role requires acombination of software engineering, data science, anddomain-specific expertise in AItechnologies.

1. Strong ProgrammingSkills

  • Python:Python is the primary language for AI development due to itssimplicity and extensive library support. Common librariesinclude:
    • TensorFlow,Keras,PyTorch: Popular deep learningframeworks.
    • NumPy,Pandas,Matplotlib: For data manipulation,analysis, andvisualization.
    • Scikit-learn:For traditional machine learningalgorithms.
  • C++:For performance-intensive applications, such as robotics orreal-time AIsystems.
  • Java andR: Sometimes used for AI, especiallyin enterprise applications or data scienceroles.

2. MachineLearning & DeepLearning

  • Supervised& Unsupervised Learning: Knowledge ofalgorithms for regression, classification, clustering, anddimensionalityreduction.
    • Algorithms:Linear regression, decision trees, random forests, k-meansclustering,etc.
  • NeuralNetworks: Understanding the architecture and workingof neural networks, includingfeedforward,convolutional (CNNs), andrecurrent (RNNs)networks.
  • DeepLearning: Hands-on experience with deep learningmodels for tasks like image classification, speech recognition, andNLP.
    • Libraries likeTensorFlow andPyTorch are essential for building,training, and optimizing deep learningmodels.

3.Data Science & StatisticalAnalysis

  • DataPreprocessing: Cleansing, transforming, andpreparing data for machine learningmodels.
  • FeatureEngineering: Creating new features from raw data toimprove modelperformance.
  • Exploratory DataAnalysis (EDA): Using statistical methods andvisualizations to understand the dataset and deriveinsights.
  • StatisticalModeling: Familiarity with hypothesis testing,confidence intervals, p-values, anddistributions.

4.Natural Language Processing(NLP)

  • TextData Processing: Understanding how to preprocess andmanipulate text data using libraries likespaCy,NLTK, andtransformers.
  • NLPModels: Building and deploying models likeBERT,GPT,Word2Vec, orT5 for tasks like text classification,sentiment analysis, machine translation, and questionanswering.

5. ComputerVision

  • ImageProcessing: Techniques like edge detection, objectdetection, image segmentation, and featureextraction.
  • Convolutional NeuralNetworks (CNNs): Building and training CNNs forimage classification, facial recognition, and objectdetection.
  • Libraries &Tools: Familiarity with tools likeOpenCV,TensorFlow,Keras, andPyTorch for implementing computervision tasks.
Desired candidate profile

The AI Engineer will be the AI specialist, not onlyinhouse but from the client side as well. The team is veryimpressive and supportive in terms of guiding and mentoring as yougrow within the organisation.

To be considered for this role, the successfulcandidate should worked in a similar role previously and hold aBachelor's or Masters's degree in ComputerScience, Artificial Intelligence or a relatedfield.

Experience with Tools such as MicrosoftCopilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Synthesia AI, Otter AI,Fireflies AI, is essential for this role. Our client is looking forindividuals proficient in Python and familiar with frameworks likeTensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face. The successful candidateshould also have knowledge of AI Agents and their implementation.Excellent communication skills in English are essential for thisposition.
