JobDescription:

AtkinsRealis a globalleader in engineering and consultancy is seeking a highly skilledArchitect with specialized experiencein towers and highrise projects tojoin our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will haveexpertise in site operations andconsultancy roles with a proven trackrecord in delivering complex tower projects in both the design andconstruction phases.

This is an excitingopportunity to work on iconic and challenging architecturalprojects in the UAE contributing to the skyline of one of theworlds most dynamic and rapidly developingregions.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Design& Concept Development: Lead the designprocess for towers and highrise building projects developinginnovative and functional solutions that meet client requirementssustainability goals and regulatorystandards.
  • Site OperationsManagement: Oversee and manage the execution oftower projects onsite ensuring the architectural vision is realizedwhile maintaining high standards of quality safety and compliancewith designspecifications.
  • ConsultancyExpertise: Provide expert architectural consultancyservices for tower projects including conducting feasibilitystudies preparing concept designs assessing project viability andoffering solutions for challenges encountered duringconstruction.
  • ProjectCoordination: Collaborate closely with other projectteams (structural MEP etc.) to ensure that the architectural designis seamlessly integrated into the overall building structure.Ensure smooth coordination between the design construction andoperations teams.
  • Client& Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintainstrong relationships with clients stakeholders and contractors.Provide regular updates on project progress including any designadjustments or changes that may arise duringconstruction.
  • QualityAssurance: Ensure the highest quality ofarchitectural design and construction by overseeing siteinspections verifying the accuracy of design implementation andadhering to project timelines andbudgets.
  • RegulatoryCompliance: Ensure all tower projects comply withlocal building codes environmental regulations and internationaldesign standards.
  • Leadership& Mentorship: Supervise and mentor juniorarchitects and design staff ensuring the efficient execution oftasks fostering a collaborative work environment and encouragingprofessionaldevelopment.
  • Sustainability& Innovation: Incorporate sustainable designprinciples and innovative technologies into the tower design tomeet energy efficiency standards and help achieve green buildingcertifications like LEED orBREEAM.

QualificationsandSkills:

  • EducationalQualification: Bachelors or Masters degree inArchitecture from a recognizedinstitution.
  • Experience:Minimum of 10 years of professionalexperience in architecture with at least 5 years ofexperience specifically in tower projects(commercial residential mixeduse).
  • Strongexperience in both site operations(onsite project management and supervision) andarchitectural consultancy (designdevelopment client interaction regulatorycompliance).
  • Proven ability to deliverlargescale tower and highrise projectsideally within the UAE or GCC region adhering to local andinternational building standards.
  • Indepthknowledge of UAE building codesconstruction methodologies andregulations.
  • Proficient in using design anddrafting software including AutoCAD RevitBIM (Building Information Modeling) and otherarchitectural tools.
  • Strong understanding ofsustainability practices green building certifications (LEEDBREEAM) and energyefficient designsolutions.
  • Excellent leadership communicationand interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and mentor ateam of architects and collaborate across multidisciplinaryteams.
  • Strong attention todetail with an ability to balance creativity withpractical solutions for complexprojects.

PreferredSkills:

  • Previousexperience with leading global consultancy firms or majorcontractors in tower projects.
  • Exposure tointernational best practices and standards in highrise architectureand construction.
  • Familiarity with advancedbuilding technologies including smart building design andconstruction techniques.
  • Multilingual skills(Arabic and English) areadvantageous.
