Roles and responsibilities

We are seeking an experiencedAccounting Auditor with fluency in Arabic to join our team. Theideal candidate will be responsible for examining and analyzingfinancial records, ensuring compliance with applicable laws andregulations, and providing recommendations to improve financialprocesses and controls.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Audit Planning andExecution:
  • Plan and conduct audits of financialstatements, transactions, and processes.
  • Ensurecompliance with accounting standards, regulations, and companypolicies.
  • FinancialAnalysis:
  • Analyze financial data to identifydiscrepancies, inefficiencies, or potentialrisks.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports outliningfindings, risks, andrecommendations.
  • ComplianceMonitoring:
  • Ensure adherence to localaccounting laws and regulations.
  • Stay updatedon industry standards and changes in tax and financialregulations.
  • Collaboration andCommunication:
  • Work closely with internal teamsand external stakeholders to address auditfindings.
  • Use Arabic fluency to communicateeffectively with Arabic-speaking clients andstakeholders.

Skills AndQualifications

  • Bachelor's degree inAccounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Provenexperience as an Accounting Auditor or similarrole.
  • Strong knowledge of accountingprinciples, standards, and regulations (e.g., IFRS,GAAP).
  • Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken)is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in auditing tools andsoftware.
  • Excellent analytical,problem-solving, and communicationskills.
  • Professional certifications such asCPA, CA, or ACCA are preferred.

PreferredQualifications

  • Experience in auditing financialstatements for organizations in the GCCregion.
  • Familiarity with local tax regulationsand compliance requirements.
  • Strong attentionto detail and the ability to handle multiple auditssimultaneously.

1. AccountingKnowledge

  • Understandingof Financial Statements: Deep knowledge of balancesheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and statements ofequity.
  • Knowledge of AccountingPrinciples: Familiarity with Generally AcceptedAccounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial ReportingStandards (IFRS), and other relevant accountingframeworks.
  • TaxKnowledge: Understanding tax regulations andensuring that financial records comply with taxlaws.

2. Audit ProcessandMethodology

  • Planningand Conducting Audits: Expertise in planning,executing, and concluding audits, ensuring that all financial datais examined thoroughly.
  • RiskAssessment: Identifying areas of risk and designingaudit plans to address those risks, including assessing internalcontrols.
  • Sampling andTesting: Using statistical methods or judgment-basedtechniques to select samples and test the accuracy of financialdata.

3. AnalyticalSkills

  • DataAnalysis: Interpreting complex financial data toidentify inconsistencies, errors, orfraud.
  • FinancialForensics: Ability to detect potential fraud orfinancial misstatements and trace theirorigins.
  • TrendAnalysis: Analyzing financial performance over timeto identify patterns or discrepancies that requireattention.

4. InternalControls andCompliance

  • EvaluatingInternal Controls: Assessing the effectiveness of anorganization's internal controls over financial reportingand operations.
  • EnsuringRegulatory Compliance: Ensuring financial recordscomply with relevant laws, standards, and regulations (e.g.,Sarbanes-Oxley, SOXcompliance).
  • IdentifyingWeaknesses: Recognizing weaknesses in financialsystems, processes, or procedures and recommendingimprovements.

  • Accuracy:Reviewing financial transactions and statements meticulously toensure all details arecorrect.
  • Identifying Errors orOmissions: Spotting discrepancies, missinginformation, or errors in financial data that could lead toincorrect conclusions.

6.Reporting andDocumentation

  • AuditReports: Preparing clear, concise, and comprehensiveaudit reports outlining findings, conclusions, andrecommendations.
  • Documentation:Maintaining thorough documentation of audit procedures, evidence,and findings for reference andcompliance.
  • ExecutiveSummaries: Presenting audit findings in anunderstandable format to senior management or externalstakeholders.
